LOL! Ah, so it is daily maintenance, hee. I tried a PM but the board went down and I couldn't send it. Now I know it's a regular thing during this time frame, thanks to you.

Man these pictures do not remotely show you just how bad his hair truly is and Betty will back me up because you have to see the complete head of hair but here's a start:

The sides are shaved, it's somewhat longer on the top, I have no clue what is going on with the back of his head which you cannot see here but it's not good. LOL.

Here's a video of him taking questions post-game... Unfortunately you don't see the back of his head: MLS Playoffs: VIDEO: David Beckham Reacts To Winning The West - Goal.com

Highlights of the match where you kind of see his hair at times:

YouTube - Houston Dynamo at Los Angeles Galaxy - Western Conference Championship - Game Highlights 11/13/09

I will keep looking for pics (maybe you can find others, Betty, that truly demonstrate how horrid his hair is) because I can't get over how terrible it looks! LOL.

Lastly, I found this quote by Beckham rather interesting:

Quote:
" I'm committed to LA Galaxy and MLS in the long term and remain as passionate as ever about growing the game of soccer in America ... I'm completely focused on ending this season on a high note with my club by winning the MLS Cup."
David Beckham – David Beckham SOURCE: FOX Sports 6 days ago
I know an argument can be made that he has to say this yet I am not so sure that it's not legit after all. Maybe he is not leaving the Galaxy? I don't even know if he wants to because of his family being settled in LA. I just read an interview where he said it's going to literally kill him having to be in Italy for six months, only seeing his family very little. He said their children are settled in school here and he refuses to pull them out. Thus, he'll have to deal with being away from them. He also made it seem like his desire to play in Europe was solely because he wanted to play for England in the World Cup again. THAT was his motive, his driving force, not necessarily for playing European soccer/football regularly again, or so I gathered based on his thoughts. He made it seem like they are very settled here in the US and his European play is motivated by wanting to play for England and I don't think I blame him there. I am not sure he wants to move from the Galaxy long term. I could be wrong but it's putting many quotes and thoughts of his together that has me not totally sold on his wanting to get back to playing the sport in Europe regularly. It was motivated by the World Cup and his knowing he needed to do certain things to get on the team coupled with his thoughts on his family being here, very settled and secure that has me wondering.

What do you think, Betty?

To end... Beckham, to me, is still the best dead ball kicker in the game or at least one of the best and he has proven this last night in spades. Does it get any better than his dead ball strikes? No way. He's tremendous and on top of his A game in this regard. It's phenomenal.

I will definitely back you up, Michelle. Why would a good looking guy mutilate his body with all of those disgusting tattoos and then get just a ridiculous hair cut??

Your videos and pics are super, Michelle. This is the only other photo that I found.

I think that he will return to LA after the world cup. I believe the only reason that he had been playing for Milan in the off season is to please the Manager of the England national team who threatened that David would not play on the team in the world cup unless he played on a stronger team than the MLS.
David desperately wants to play in one more world cup before he gets really too old. After the world cup is over....David will have nothing else to prove...so I believe that he'll honor his contract and finish it up and stay in LA...because his family is there and (from what I've read) they're very happy there.
After his contract is up...he may purchase an MLS team...he has mentioned that at times.

I know!

I guess looking at it psychologically he MIGHT be sick of being known as the model pretty-boy, you know? He wants to be taken more seriously and not have it about his looks. Thus, why he makes his hair look hideous and he covers his very nice body with those gross tattoos.... almost to ERASE his prettiness so people will have to look at him from WITHIN, not from the outside. That is my best psychological analyzing of the situation, heh.

Yes, that one is horrible too! Man.

That is my precise take, too. He needed to kiss a$$ with the stupid English coaches who are so biased with wanting him in Europe to play and that is the only way they would take him onto their world cup team. That is really what it boils down to. He needed to kiss a$$ so he is doing this bit in Italy as a result. Plain and simple. You are so right that the thing he feels he needs to prove the most is the world cup situation... I still remember what happened years ago whenever he got kicked out of the match and many believe he caused England to lose. The backlash was so harsh. I totally remember that and you know he remembers it like it took place just yesterday. Yes, his wife, Victoria, has made it known she prefers living in the US. She has said this more than once. Their children enjoy it here, they are stable and have built a foundation here. I don't see him cutting ties with MLS and the Galaxy. Not based on the interviews, especially the one where he is making it seem like the last place he wants to be is in Italy playing due to being separated from his family who are here in the US. This was all about having to please the stupid English coaches. I also think if they win it all, the Galaxy, this season, it will motivate him all the more to stay. Winning cures so many things. Who knows, if they win it this year Donovan might want to stay too! Typically I would want Columbus to win it all because of the Ohio ties but I kind of think if the Galaxy win it, that makes the Beckham/Donovan story all the more interesting so I think I will pull for LA to win it all just for that reason alone, heh.

Really? So ANOTHER hint and clue he likes it here. He's not going anywhere in the long term. I really don't think so. World Cup is done, he is done playing ball in Europe for good. He will continue with MLS and as you stated, maybe even purchasing a club here in the US. You can also see his passion on the field as well. I know he is a professional but mentally he truly seems happy with his teammates on the Galaxy, he just seems comfortable and very satisfied. He also wants to desperately win it all this year. You can totally tell. Cool and good for him.

No, Landon needs to go. He's still young enough and his time is now to challenge himself further. I think that is would be a travesty if he didn't move on.
David, on the other hand, has had he time in the Big leagues. He's heading toward retirement....so it's okay that he spends his final years in the MLS.
Landon needs to have his time as well. No one would blame him for leaving.

That's why I was rooting for them last night. It's a good story with a happy ending.

I agree but I still think (call me crazy) that Landon rather be here in the States. I really do! His interviews, the way he talks, etc. I feel like he could be trying to have a reason to stay here. We'll see what happens but I just don't believe he is that jacked up about leaving the US even for soccer. If the Europeans teams were based in the US, you bet. I'm just not convinced that Landon desperately seeks out playing in Europe. I think if the perfect opportunity opened up, he would. But I think it would have to be a perfect situation. I could be entirely wrong and I hope I am! He deserves playing with the best of the best although I sure love watching him play with Beckham and many others on the Galaxy who I feel are superbly talented as well so it's not like he is currently playing with punks. LOL. But yeah, he needs to step it up.

Great article about Beckham and what he wants to do after his contract ends. See, you don't talk like that if you want to get back to playing in Europe regularly! He's not going anywhere. This was all for playing the World Cup one more time. His motives are all about making MLS better and being here in the long term. I think that's great.

When does his contact end again?

Also, I am posting this from my friend, Hannah's house. We are going a few places and I hope to God I get back home in time for the Ireland/France match! I am seriously going to try! *crosses fingers*

I'm going to watch on Iraq Goals Sports Channels. It has the match on its schedule. I don't want to have to join another site and pay each week if I don't have to.

ETA: The link is working, Michelle. I think that the announcer is that Irish guy from ESPN News.

My eyes! Yeah, Beckham is apparently on a mission to ruin his image as a good looking guy, heh. Weird tattoos and now that hair? Yikes.

Canucks tonight against Colorado. I think most people expect us to lose, and this season that might mean we pull off an upset. The team generally does better when people expect the worst.

Hey Betty! I watched at Hannah's on the link you provided (thanks) but I couldn't get to the board because there were too many people there.

What did you think of the Ireland/France match?

I only watched up to the 20th minute mark...I had to go out. There was no score yet..but from what I saw....it looked pretty equal and rough. Alex's friends must be happy.
What are your thoughts, Michelle?

I'm so glad you had to go out because now I don't feel so frustrated that I wasn't able to actively post as the match was going on since that is what I wanted to do but was unable to do so.

My general comments are that Ireland knew they couldn't compete with the French and their skill and ability to control the match so they attempted to just be spoilers if you will, annoy and hope that they throw the French off their game and in the process maybe knock in a goal to steal this match away and win it. It worked for a while but they couldn't muster up anything offensively and eventually the French prevailed and got a goal to win this thing. That is the really shortened version, heh.

To bad about Ireland. Can't see France throwing this away now.

Earlier today New Zealand qualified after beating Bahrain. A bit of å surprise seeing them qualify, but the funny thing is that they have a player, Kris Bright, who played for my local club, Kristiansund BK, just a year ago. He had å professional contract while playing here, but most of his teammates where amateurs. And now he'll might get å spot in a World Cup side!

I think your expectations helped a lot, Betty: we're going into the 3rd up 4-0! Haven't seen us play like this in a long time. I swear, we just need to keep playing teams that everyone thinks we can't beat, and we'll be fine.

ETA: Finished 8-2. All I can say is:

Matty, that's so cool. Such a small world sometimes! That's fantastic.

Lately I've been in such a soccer/football mood. I love watching and talking about the sport so lets get to it, Betty & Matty. Any topic, I'm ready, hee.

Betty, when did you start supporting Fulham and what players, in particular, do you like on the club?

Same question for Matty regarding Liverpool...when did you first start supporting the club? How and why did it originate?

Mitch, buttttt we have to talk football today and the Wild, too, hee!

What a great line up! Vikes at noon, Green Bay at 3:15! Wild at 12:30!

Oh god, turn off the Beckham/hair pics.

This thread has been something else lately! Ovechkins UGLY face, his moronic, arrogant, unintelligent personality that I cannot stand, Beckham's hair and tattoos! Is this like a form of torture?
