As a whole, not sure. The thing is so many people are going to have rippage/opinions now. It's so easy to sit back and rip away but then back away and not directly play a part in fixing this. So who knows. |

Fan comment.... Tab Ramos? Please. I watch all the matches I can. I remember one well coached U20 match, vs. Mexico in this year's CONCACAF qualifying, in all Ramos' tenure. The 2011 team failed to qualify and he kept his job. 2013 was a disaster. 2015 and 2017 were more of the US way, athleticism over tactics, federation/country wealth for better facilities, hotels.....than other teams. Consider me unimpressed. |

Euro coaches Sam Allardyce, Laurent Blanc angling for USMNT coaching job
If either of these two get hired I will stop caring. The French dude would be indifferent? Would we expect any other response for this French guy? I cannot believe they are even being considered. Just NO. Last edited by jediwands; 10-18-2017 at 12:45 PM |

I don't blame you. I feel the same way.
Another post: I'm wondering why USMNT guys don't show up for the games anymore. I've listened to a lot of angst podcasts and read a lot of angst articles this week. One thing that struck a chord with me is the fact that, other than Pulisic, who do we have right now who is the caliber of those 2002 players like Brian McBride, Tony Sanneh, Brad Friedel, Cherundolo, Landon, etc? What player has the heart and motor of Frankie Hejduk? Can you even imagine Frankie quitting in a game? |

I've been preaching forever that the heart and soul of this team was stripped thanks to JK and we needed to get it back. It's unfortunate that we didn't get it back in time before T&T. We need someone who understands American culture (not those other two Europeans who want to play around in our great country while making millions for a couple of years ) and someone who is no-nonsense and can kick the sht out of these players so no ego, no lack of passion will ever be involved ever again. |

Bottom line for me is if I do not like who is taking over as coach I am out. I will not go through another even close to a JK ever again. I checked out emotionally and barely cared with JK. I will not do it again. The decisions they make better be the right ones because I have a feeling I am not the only one on the edge who could stay or who could go.

Not sure I like this idea:
Landon Donovan considering run for US Soccer presidency - source - ESPN FC He retired early. I'm not sure he has the strength and dedication to stay at it. |

What you guys are talking about the US Soccer team reminds of what we went through with Aussie Cricket team in 2013 with having international coach who didn't suit our normal style of play and trying to change it made the team worse.
