I think I mentioned once before that my son Joe believes that Parents don't belong at games.

The thing is, I grew up playing both soccer and basketball. I feel there is a huge difference between soccer and basketball fans when it comes to parents. NEVER have I encountered super bad basketball parents, not like soccer parents. There is a difference on both the highest level of traveling and highest level of high school. Why? I am not sure, but I know for a fact (since I lived it) there is.

Great point that Pittsburgh went there. Cleveland/Pittsburgh are extreme rivals but oddly they protect each other in this scenario, or try to. It's like we can hate each other but don't let another team mess with either one of us type of deal.

Oh the devastation that transpired when Cleveland lost the team. It was awful. I LOVE how fellow Clevelanders fought to keep the name "Browns" and the colors. That was a phenomenal accomplishment. A few years later the Browns were back.
It's definitely an rivalry that both parties would have missed it if it was gone. Isn't Art Modell still hated in Cleveland? From what I've read about the whole situation, he comes off as massive ****.

Joe was talking about Soccer games. We had the worst! Of course I'm not talking about me.

My mom was never like that either. She shook her head constantly watching the crazies instead. Joe is bang on. All this sht could be removed if they weren't able to attend. Or seriously do a country-wide ban for even a short time period to get the point across.

Cleveland Clinic saved his a$$ more than once for this and that. He owed so much to the city of Cleveland and he backstabbed the natives instead.

He is so loathed, he knew returning back to Cleveland for games wouldn't even be safe. Of course that's not sane but you know what I mean... he was so hated the city of Cleveland basically banned him from ever returning. When he died in 2012, Clevelanders didn't soften either. Everyone still said in life he was the biggest prick that was solely responsible for crushing an entire city. No love loss, no softening, what he did was disgusting. I loathe the Baltimore Ravens as a result even to this very day. I like that as a Steelers fan, I can take out my anger on them when Pittsburgh beats them in big games, lol. I look forward to the day when the Browns can stomp on them as well.

It's an bit of karma though that he was such an bad businessman that the NFL actually had to force him to sell the Ravens, which is ridiculous considering what he got to move in the first place. Can't blame them at all for still hating his guts, since what he did was a lot worse than Bob Irsay did imo.

Totally agree. No clue how he lived with himself after what he did to millions of people. It seems silly but it's true. He broke the hearts of a city that was good to him for years and didn't think twice about it.

First men's semi US Open

Was very underwhelming. I guess people wanted Sam there instead and to poke at the frustration even more Anderson just got into the finals which was predicted Sam would have too had he advanced.

This next men's semi will be good though. Nadal versus del Potro the Argentine. The Spaniard Nadal is typically very popular but Americans adore Del Porto. Even the analysts say he's so adorable and kind. Guaranteed they'll be pulling for del Potro.

This is bunk: Judge grants temporary restraining order request for Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott

So he goes to a court and gets it delayed and will be able to play for a full season most likely. BS. Absolute BS. He's not going to get out of the 6 games so why not do the 6 and stop already. It makes me sick. I am sure Jones is probably telling him he'll get him out of the 6 too.

Yeah, especially since the city tried everything to keep him.

Precisely. He was a creep and has basically gone down in history as one of the biggest NFL villains.

I saw this in Wikipedia:

Quote:
Browns' final game at Municipal Stadium (1995)
When the final game was played in Cleveland Municipal Stadium in 1995, there were more people outside it protesting the move than inside enjoying their last Browns game before the three-year deactivation. The protesters were acknowledged by the NBC announcing crew. Former NFL head coach Mike Ditka said, "...these are some of the best fans in the NFL. I said that when I came here with my Bears. They (the Cleveland sports fans) don't deserve this. If Modell had any sort of sense of dignity he would have sold the team

The proper football part slightly annoys me given where this article comes from, lol.

NFL Football is our "proper football" and it's a popular sport that many from around the world watch, including England.

Cute video though, indeed.
