Klinsmann has to feel "something" today. We didn't just win last night, we absolutely kicked a$$ last night. I know it is just one game, but I think it's clear that a huge turnaround has taken place. The mindset in itself is a complete 180. And I have always said sports, any sport, is a mental game first. We didn't remotely have the mental part down with Klinsmann, let alone his crazy strategies, trying to convert us to a foreign type of style, only playing certain players for political and insane reasons. So glad the page has been turned and we are out of that hellish situation! Last edited by jediwands; 03-25-2017 at 12:49 PM |

Betty, I'm trying to remember something... was Clint out for those first WCQ matches we lost under JK? I'm trying to remember if his irregular heartbeat and time off was in play then? I think so, right? If so, it's possible JK calling out Dempsey in his tweet could be a slight message that we are back on the track because we got Dempsey back, not because of the coaching change, style change, formation change, communication change, lol.

We were all on the same page, every player on the field understood what their specific assignment was, there was relaxation and a complete coming together attitude. When is the last time we've seen Altidore play like that? It doesn't matter that he didn't score, his passes were crisp, he was listening to CP and Dempsey. CP specifically told him where he wanted the ball on the first goal, Altidore placed it perfectly, then CP assisted. The chemistry was there too. It was just great to see. |

Huge win for the United States the night. We went from last place in the Hex up to fourth with third place Panama in our sights on Tuesday night.
Six goals as a USA Hex qualifying record. So long Klinsmann, props Bruce, long live the new king. Let's not pat ourselves in the back too long and show Panama some of the same smash mouth soccer we handed to Honduras tonight |

What can you say about Deuce? He just continues to amaze. I hope he can keep it up in Panama. And although Jozy didn't score, I thought he had a very good game, and combined well with Pulisic and Deuce. Precisely what I said, this trio was great. |

For once I have to give Alexi Lalas some credit. In the post game he described the game as a "cleansing" which removed some of the bad mental and emotional baggage from the last few results. Spot on analysis for once. I hope that the team can build on this performance for the Panama game.
