Hee, the whole role sounds like something that I could really really find annoying if it was in the wrong hands or if the writing wasn't good, but somehow I find it incredibly funny and cute with Sarah. Probably because I'm biased because she rocks and all, heh.

And I'm not even going to try to make sense of that paragraph. If it's hurting your brain, it would explode mine.

Because there's also still that thing she said about her character being redeemed, which makes me think we might see in her in the present, too, maybe helping him resolve this new situation? Which would offer more of an opening for her to sing, if she were going to this week.
Great idea! But I still think we only will get flashbacks... She hasn't even been in the promo of the next episode. And who knows... She could also sing in the flashback. She has a crush on Will and who knows, maybe she wrote and sang him a song.

What does Emily have going on tonight?

I'm quite excited for tomorrow, though, much more than I was for Grey's. Probably because Crazy!Sarah is entertaining, and we'll get to see her doing comedy, which isn't something we've had since her funny moments on Everwood.

Ah, thanks, might have to check that out. I'm sure it'll be more fun for her than doing Brothers and Sisters probably is right now, hee.

Sarah needs to get on one of these late night talk shows too. Although, it's taken Emily so long, so there's probably not a great chance of that happening anytime soon unless Sarah gets a regular role on a show instead of all these guest roles. We didn't really want to see her on Inside the Box or Grey's Anatomy, but maybe it would have been worth it for a late night talk show appearance? Eh, probably not, heh.

...Yeah, I'll take a regular role that I can genuinely enjoy over a talk show appearance, hee. Plus, as much as I generally enjoy Sarah's print interviews, I would be afraid that something would go awry on a talk show and she might present herself in some way that would end up annoying me. Probably wouldn't happen, heh, but you never know. It's happened before with others.

Sarah would probably talk about how much of a fan she is of So You Think They Can Dance and how she cries over it every week, hee. Although if that's her most annoying attribute, then I think we're good, heh.

Hee, I'd almost forgotten that random appearance! That would be okay, though. I would just really need her not to accidentally look goofy or ditzy in any way. That would be my primary concern. (She's obviously an intelligent person -- UVA! -- but sometimes talk shows don't bring that out in people and it makes me sad. The obviously intelligent Lauren Graham offers several good examples of this phenomenon.)

Drat. I had a thought earlier for a Hannah discussion question (not that we're lacking for activity at the moment), but it's left me now. Hoping it comes back...

Aw, but the Lauren Graham interviews are so funny because she's so goofy, hee.

I was trying to figure out what UVA was supposed to stand for for the longest time, by the way, hee.

Hope so too. If it does, yeah, write it down for a rainy day when this thread is less active.

I'd like to see Sarah on a night talk show as well to at least get something different/new about her.

Btw - I just googled her and it says she was born in 1980???!!! I always thought she's much younger! She really is 5 years older than me! Wow, crazy.

And she's doing two other movies... One with Kim Raver, it's called "Inside the Box" and one called "Tug". It's one with Hilary Duff... Not so unknown actresses so far.

Hee, she's aging at an impressively slow speed, isn't she? It's really astonishing to think back and realize that, in her first year as Hannah, she was 23/24. And married!

Inside the Box is actually the pilot she did that had Shonda Rhimes as one of the producers -- sort of a Grey's Anatomy of the Washington D.C. news world. The script had its ups and downs, but Sarah would actually have had one of the lead roles if it had been picked up (last I heard, they were possibly revamping the show in the hopes of a later pick-up, but I haven't heard anything new on that front). Don't know how that would have turned out, as her character went between being likable and being sort of annoying, but it is a bit unfortunate that she's done two pilots since Everwood (the other being a Rina Mimoun one called Reinventing the Wheelers) and neither has been picked up. Not an unusual thing in TV, of course, but we need someone with Sarah's talents to have some better luck soon! And hopefully with a really good show, hee.

Hee, Kris, Sarah's age floors me every time too.

The Rina Mimoun show was definitely the best option out of the two pilots for us. We could root for Rina and Sarah! Plus, as much as Rina says that she's Amy, she certainly knows how to write for Sarah.

Tonight! Glee, you have one last shot to impress me, but you do have the advantage of having one of my favourite actresses on the show. Well played, Glee. Well played.

It is amazing what an impact bad glasses and no makeup or conditioner can have on the appearance of a generally cute person, heh.

Smaller role than I would have liked, although, at that level of twitchy crazy, I was okay with the amount of screentime she actually did have. Does that make any sense? Basically, more Sarah is, in general, a Good Thing, but if her character's that nutty we're better with a minimum, heh. (But I was so hoping she'd at least start singing along with her iPod in the beginning of the attempted suicide-by-hot pepper scene.) I do see what Sarah meant now about a redemptive moment, though, and I was wondering if it was going to end up being something along those lines. There also is an opening for a return performance, given that she's a current student and clearly Rachel, at least, is acquainted with her. If they give her a chance to sing, then I'm game. Just because I really, really want her to sing in something that I can actually watch instead of in an indie movie or short film that's well-nigh impossible to find.

As for everything else...it was an hour of television. Heh. I did like the "Endless Love" and "Don't Stand So Close to Me/Young Girl" scenes, though. They amused me.

ETA: Haaa! It is absolutely fantastic to read through the episode thread and come across a number of posters who are identifying Sarah as the actress who plays Kitty on Mad Men. (And finding this revelation mindboggling, which is an appropriate response, because she could not possibly look more different from one role to the other than she does). Man, I think this post-Everwood career trajectory, with the multiple interesting guest or recurring roles, is so much better than if she had found a regular series role right off the bat. There are so many people who recognize her from a variety of roles now -- for some she's Hannah, for others Kitty, I've even seen people who remembered her from things like Medium and Private Practice (never Castle, though, alas, heh). It's just incredibly cool to see her exposed to so many viewers in such diverse ways, though, instead of only being known to one specific audience.
