Holy crap, you just called an episode decent! Hee. I heard mostly good reviews too. And I'm sure that Sarah is going to act her butt of when she does get fired and feels guilty and such. She does heartbreaking and anguish so very well.

That's really interesting that Shonda brought her on just to get fired in her second episode. I wonder if that was part of making it a little shocking (if it is), since it's pretty clear that they're all big fans of Sarah on the show, yet she's the first to go.

Possible, but -- yeah, you know what? I think it's the face. Because the entire scene, where she's in conference with all the hospital higher-ups and realizes that she's responsible for the basic mistake that eventually resulted in the patient's death? The facial expressions. Excellent. I think you might actually have to get a hold of this when you're more in the mood for this sort of thing, 'Tos. (And you know if I'm endorsing it...)

I caught the final half an hour, and man, Sarah was excellent. Like you said, when she realized the mistake..man. You really do need a Sarah Drew for something like that. Her mix desperation and shock and grief on her face and in her voice was really powerful. I also liked Sandra Oh defending her.

I wish she got a better goodbye than a really quick walk out, but I do like that her and Laynie are friends, hee. It lets me imagine their S5 scene or two better.

Oh, good! Glad you caught that, and so glad that she wasn't a waste of a casting choice, you know? Last week made me wonder why they suddenly hated her, heh, but tonight went a long way towards making up for that.

And I, too, liked that she and Laynie seemed to be friends and that Sandra Oh defended her, hee.

Incidentally, it was kinda trippy watching this right after catching a whole lot of Chris Pratt on Parks & Recreation just a half hour earlier. They're doing very different work these days, heh.

ETA an hour later: It is cracking me up to read reactions to the episode and see how many people seem to have improved their opinion of her since last week and would have preferred to see another of the new characters go, or are just bummed because they realized they liked the acting. Hee, the Sarah Drew Allure has regained its power.

I caught the end of Grey's. I went out to turn the tv off and saw Nora, but wasn't sure, so I stopped ot see if it was really her, then she went out and talked to Sarah and I was all: SARAH

I've been working on ripping the "Front of the Class" DVD. the movie is already on youtube, but the 'making of' feature isn't so...

YouTube - Making of "Front of the Class" Part 1
YouTube - Making of "Front of the Class" Part 2

Sarah's only in the first one, but just in case you wanna watch the whole thing. I also capped all her scenes in the movie and from the making of, so hopefully I'll be able to upload those next week.

may recap other of her stuff.

Hee, nice. Sarah's sad face can make anyone like her, heh. Resistance is futile! Oh, I'm such a nerd making a Star Trek reference.

I finally watched last week's episode of Greys...but forgot to record this week's episode. It sounds like I missed a good one. Is there another way that I can see it? Does ABC have full episodes on line?

ABC.com does indeed have the full episodes (well, at least it does for viewers in the US, of which you are one, heh). Definitely check it out.

A nice perk for living in the US! Thanks, Thief. I'm going to check it out.

I'm glad you're going to get to see it, Betty. When Thief and I of all people are talking about how we liked an episode of Grey's, that's saying something. Of course, it mostly had to do with Sarah.

I have never had a problem with Grey's. I used to watch it regularly. Why don't you guys like it?
I just finished the episode and all I can say is, "Wow." Incredible...very intense. The acting was great all around. Sarah's emotions were so real.
Did you notice that the character who died was Madison's friend on Everwood? The one who was at Madison's birthday party..who befriended Ephram. She's also the one who told off Andy when he went to see Madison.

Just speaking for myself, it has a little more emphasis on romance/various love entanglements than I'm really into. I did watch a few episodes years ago when it was new (S1 or 2, I think) and didn't mind it too much back then, though. I did think last night's episode was particularly interesting, with the sort of mystery angle to it. And the big Sarah reaction shots, of course.

And I didn't realize who the actress playing the young mother/dead patient was at the time, though I thought she looked familiar, but that's awesome. So we had a couple of scenes of three Everwoodian females together for the first time ever!

I don't watch Grey's but it's great to see Sarah around in different shows. I saw her on Privileged and it was good to see her again.

I saw the last 15-20 minutes. most I've ever seen of Grey's. and it's crazy how many Everwood people that Sarah has worked with the last couple years.
