They are shaky with this foreign style.

A style I think is boring as hell and ridiculous, by the way. Way too much ice, not enough hitting or jammed up action.

I miss the NHL so much as far as style of hockey. I can only watch this style because it's during the Olympics. Otherwise, please bring back the action, energy of the North American sheet of ice.

Me too!

Yes that picture is nice.

Yes no one can convince me the groups and "outcomes" with all different scenarios wasn't something Russian officials didn't figure out ahead of time.

It's a rotten shame the two best teams in the world already know they will not meet for Gold. This is the Olympics, and it's all about earning your worth. The US and Canada have done nothing but WIN.

Why the frick would that translate to not being in completely different brackets as the 1 and 2 teams in the world?

It's ridiculous.

How many times over and over again does Russia continue to do suspect things over the years? Why were they even awarded the Winter Olympics?!

Oh well... /rant

You're welcome.

I didn't see the interview so I'm not sure myself how it went down.

Women's Hockey Semis

United States and Sweden in one hour.

His younger brother had recently passed away and she asked him if he was racing for his brother. He answered teary eyed and she continued to ask him similar questions. He just looked at her and couldn't stop crying. When she finally left him..he was crouched down sobbing. His wife had to come over to console him.
What the heck was wrong with that interviewer?!? I wanted to strangle her!! If you see that your questions are upsetting someone...change the subject!!

I found the interview....

That's the media for you. She wanted the "break down" story.

Pathetic. That interview makes me uncomfortable while watching. It's disgusting.

I was so uncomfortable and I felt so sorry for him. I don't understand why she did that.

She wanted him to break down is why. There's no other reason for it. I mean, he brought it up and started choking up and she just kept right on going.

Then again, crying is therapeutic. In a strange way maybe he did want to "let it out" even if it seems she produced more of a response. So, she cashed in on how he brought it up but maybe in the end that helped him. He needed to get those emotions out.

There's no way on earth she didn't know what she was doing. I mean, he brought it up and started choking up and she just kept right on going. Unreal.
She's not even a reporter. She's a former US Olympic skier...Christen Cooper. She should know better.

Well, maybe she didn't totally know how to conduct the interview then.

He DID bring it up, not her and maybe she did feel he wanted to talk about it. Like I said, crying is therapeutic. You have to wonder why he not only brought it up but started choking up if he was uncomfortable talking about it.

He brought it up...he cried..and then the theme of the questions should have changed. I thought she was idiotic to pursue that line. She could have talked to him about the race...his tactics. Anything else. Poor guy.

Thank God I'm not a reporter, cause I could never do that!

I am torn now on what I think after a second and third viewing. It could go either way. I think he definitely wanted to talk about his brother for sure.

Either way, it's very sad that he is in so much pain over his brother. You can feel the raw emotion. He was calmly, intellectually talking about the sport and then suddenly switches gears to his brother and bam, emotion. He is certainly dealing with a strong mourning process. So sad.

USA women starting shortly. Looking forward to this one.
