I haven't listened to any of the commentaries on season 4, so I have no idea if there are spoilers on them or not. I'd err on the side of caution if I were you since I know a lot of the same people are involved with Buffy and Angel, and the Buffy people had no problem spoiling things a couple of seasons in the future in their commentaries.

Yeah, I wasn't planning on doing any of the commentaries until I finished the two series, but my friend seemed really anxious for me to get to that episode's commentary

This is completely off topic with what is presently being discussed on this thread.

It's about 5:10 PM. I'm in my kitchen cooking dinner. I turned on the TV in my kitchen.......ABC Family.
What's on? Guess. Oh, yea.......Gilmore Girls!
Don't get me wrong......I loved Gilmore Girls........but how many times are we going to watch these episodes? How unfair that this show has had so many runs and Everwood can't even be seen twice!

I know, this has probably been already discussed......but it's still irritating.

Yeah, Everwood should be shown more. It was a quality show that deserves to be aired somewhere.

Instant Star

Happy days! I've just realized that The N is showing new episodes every day this week, and it is awesome. Of course, that means that the final season will be over that much sooner, but at least I won't have to wait as long to see it all....unless they pull a Degrassi and show half of the season now and the other half in November or something.

Cupid

I wasn't sure about this show. I mean, I liked the original version a lot, and Rob Thomas is once again running the show, but I can pretty much take or leave Bobby Cannavale, the male lead, and it's kind of weird that ABC is remaking one of their own failed series...but then today I read that Sarah Paulson has been cast as the female lead, so I'm definitely in baby! Bring it on!

My Boys

Second season season premiere is tonight. Everyone should tune in.

Hey Amy! I saw and I believe I'm still dead. For real, I should check my pulse because for all I know I could still be laying without movement on the floor.

OMG, loving the pic sooooooooooooo much!

And... well I'll PM you the rest, friend. Expect one either later tonight or tomorrow morning.

Gaby, great decision, dude.

Frenchie, your teasing's too late.

Betty, I am the biggest Gilmore Girls fan ever (well not as much as our Everwood) and I hear you so much regarding the repetitive episodes of this show on ABC Family. Ahhhhhhhh. Thing is, all the DVDs of Gilmore Girls are out so I never watch on ABC Family unless I'm channel surfing and land on a specific moment of an episode that I really love, then I'll watch. But the DVDs are about how I watch this show and I would wager a good guess there's a large percentage of people who do it this way as well. It's absolutely ridiculous Everwood is not being shown on this network. It sucks the big one. WTF.

I know I've said this before, but Everwood's going to be on TheWB.com and that is something. It will probably be the only way to watch it. I know that the reason why Charmed won't be on TheWB.com is because it is still in syndication on TNT.

I know, and you're right. But there's something about watching a show on a TV screen, rather than a computer screen.
In addition..I think that it is easier to lure new fans to Everwood if it's shown on TV. I'm not sure if many new people are going to check it out on the internet. I could be wrong, however!

More fans= more posters on this board!

Also, the DVDs are not even out for Everwood. If they were, this wouldn't even be a discussion since everyone would have a chance to see the entire series. As it stands now, that's definitely not the case and it's a very sad situation. I have many friends who will never watch it on a computer screen, that's just who they are, not at all about watching shows on a computer. I know many people are like that as well. So for a portion of people, the TheWB.com is going to be a dream come true. But not for everyone, unfortunately.

Exactly right, Michelle. I also mentioned before that there's no way on this planet my friends will watch it online, not happening. So there will be a number of people who will either have never heard of it even being an option online or who do hear about it but refuse to watch it on the computer either because they don't have high quality computers to do so, or they refuse to watch it online. I have a feeling WB.com is mainly for people who have seen the entire series but are computer friendly and will have fun watching it on their computer screen or it's people who have missed a random episode here or there and want to watch the ones they missed. As for bringing in brand new fans? Don't see that happening much at all. And unfortunately there will be many like our friends who want to see the episodes but aren't into watching it on the computer.

So the bottom line is The WB.com is a nice thing, but it's not nearly enough. Not whenever this show is WORTH being on the TV screen again. We aren't talking a mediocre show here, we're talking one of the best shows ever created so I'm sorry, I simply cannot be satisfied that it's coming online only. It deserves WAY better than that, the fans deserve way better than that, and how maddening that there's people out there who will never experience Everwood because it might not ever come back on the screen again in the US and other places. Sickening.

I don't know, I do see Everwood picking up a lot of new fans from the WB.com thing. That's how a lot of people watch shows these days (I don't) and people have heard about the show, but never got a chance to see it, so I hope it'll get some new fans anyway. The good thing about the internet idea is that people can watch it whenever they want, so I think that'll be an incentive to new fans, who won't have to wait a week or even a day to watch the next ep, but can watch as much as they want.

But yeah, it's definitely not the same as watching on television. There's no excuse for it not being on tv, or no DVDs being released. The DVDs are the most important, having something tangible to hold on to for this series, ah, I really hope we see that one day. Already with the WB.com, the show has a chance to live on and have a bigger legacy, which I think it deserves, and a DVD coupled with that would ensure of that even further. *crosses fingers for DVDs*

ETA: While I was watching tv tonight, I saw a commercial for a movie, and I was all "woah! Greg Smith! In a movie? In a huge role? Featured in the commercial? Running with a gun? With Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie??? Why haven't I heard about this?" and then...it ended up being James McAvoy. It's frickin' eerie how much they look alike sometimes. Damn you, James McAvoy, stop making me think Greg is doing a bunch of things that he's not really doing! *shakes fist*

Maybe the Wb.com is a step in the right direction. If Everwood gets attention there, maybe it'll trigger a DVD sale somehow ? we can hope for that.

and about James McAvoy, it's true ther ressemblance is insane !!

As for theWB.com, something is better than nothing.

Instant Star

As a Tommy/Jude shipper since the first episode I watched, I'm used to getting jerked around by this show. I hoped that, this being the final season and all, that the writers would get over that and let Jude have a relatively stable love life for more than a couple of episodes. Of course, I wasn't surprised when instead they went with what has become Instant Star by numbers: Jude and Tommy get together towards the first of the season, Tommy's secrets drive them apart and they break up, then they get back together towards the end of the season, only to be torn apart again in the final episodes. Hopefully the final part of that equation. Maybe I'm delusional, or maybe it was the Instant Star mini that showed Jude and Tommy getting married in the future, but I'm confident that things will work out.

My Boys

Sadly, both of my shows disappointed me last night. I was overjoyed when it was revealed that P.J. picked Bobby, but I should have known that the writers wouldn't actually put them together this early in the show. I'm hoping that this means that B/PJ are the endgame, because I like the actor that plays Bobby, and I like B/PJ together more than anyone else they've had her with.

The rest of the episode was great. I loved the storyline with Mike getting them banned from Crowley's.

That's a great point. Absolutely the best way to look at it.

Battlestar Galactica

Well, I read on Korbi TV that this was one of the best episodes of the season, perhaps the series...I agree that it was a good episode, but I didn't think it was one of the best of the series. A lot of stuff happened, and the four of the Final Five that we know about got outed, but the main thing that surprised me was that they discovered Earth in the middle of the last season. I always expected them to end the series with the Galactica jumping to Earth, but I guess I was wrong. '

Once they made the jump to Earth though, I knew that something bad would be waiting for them, and I was proven correct when the landing team discovered the irradiated remains of what looked like a post-apocalyptic New York.

Buffy

I have started the final (televised) season

Anyway! Thoughts for the first four episodes:
Spoiler:
Spiiiiiiiiiiiiiike. Oh that last scene in the premiere was awesome. And that last scene in the second episode. Sad sad sad sad.

I like that I recognised Alex Breckenridge in the premiere before she even had any lines, just from outside the new Sunnydale High. I hope she comes up again, she and Dawn were cute.

Buffy teaching Dawn how to slay was a pretty awesome opening scene for the premiere.

"Same Time, Same Place" -- loved the concept and the editing was awesome, but omg ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww to the demon pecking at Willow's skin. It grossed me out so much and I think that's the first time I have that to say for something. Like I might have said ew before, but this one. Really takes the cake. Ew.

I liked recognising a lot of people in "Help," like Zachery Bryan (from Home Improvement and Veronica Mars) and Sarah Hagan (from Freaks and Geeks). Sad that Casey still died.

Buffy's new job as counselor.. hm, interesting. I'll go with it.
I think that's it for now!
