I think my problem with S2 and why I am having trouble connecting with some characters is that they have Jughead in so much damn trouble. The kid is drowning and I am supposed to care about ships? Why? His dad is in Jail. He has been manipulated by the Serpents and is now at their behest and it all comes back to that crappy father of his. He barely seems to have money to eat food. It just makes the whole relationship drama seem so petty.

Now Jughead is going to carry guilt over the fact that his dad has to go back to drinking and joining the Serpents due to his mistakes.

Hope so too even if it is a show based on the Archie Comics. Still, the way the first 1 1/2 years have been set up spells an awareness that the epic comic triangle needs to be squashed for the most part.

Completely agree. Honestly, I was sick enough of Brooke/Lucas in season 1. Seeing the seasons 2/3 crap (I just talked about this on the Dawson's Creek thread too) was awful. Alexa mentioned how some Brooke/Lucas shippers thought they were great in season 3 and we are both perplexed. Huh? LOL Not even close.

I was too haha, Brucas were horrible in season 3 and it makes me laugh that some people think they were amazing that season.

I don't see how it's even possible. I summed it up on the Dawson's Creek thread, their journey. It was horrible from the start of season 3 until finally there was light at the end of the tunnel in 4.1.
