I think I've asked this question every year around this time for about 6/7 years now. LOL

Are there any new shows coming up in the Fall that you plan on checking out?

Doesn't make sense. Plus, it's weird that these accusations haven't been pursued and followed up either... why isn't the media running with this if there's truth to it? They would be the first to want to bite their teeth in a story like this and get down to the bottom of who mistreated, what happened, etc. Yet it's being swept under the rug for some reason. Plus, if it was so bad it's strange her fellow co-workers wouldn't come out and support her either. There has been nothing like that. Something just doesn't add up, part of the story is missing, or we don't know the true story. I feel this very strongly too.

I agree with this. Something does not add up. If she was not on the wrong (like 100000 % not on the wrong) she would have said something till now IMO. Unless they made her sign some disclosure, but I am not sure that she would have agreed to that.

I know that it will sound bad, but I just picked up one thing once it was known that she would leave the show. I felt like it was her choice and it was a result of something she did as well. I always felt that it was mutual between sides where both sides did something wrong and felt that it's better this way. And Jesse's sister's comment lead me to the same direction as well. As well as his reaction.

On Instagram some fan is constantly blaming Jesse for cheating on Sophia with Torrey (the actress that was in PLL). Jesse never answers to those comments. He does not delete them and it seems like he is not blocking the person either. Basically no reaction from him. And the fan is accusing him of all kinds of stuff which sucks a bit because there is no proof so far. Even if he is with Torrey, there are no official pictures to prove it. His sister answered once and basically told that fan they don't know what they are talking about and Jesse is happy now and his family support him and basically sounded like he is better now that he is not with Sophia. I assume Jesse told her something because then his sister apologized. Said fan also apologized.

It was really weird situation but it made me believe that whatever happened between Sophia and Jesse was basically mutual where both did something wrong or both realized that they should not be together. I would not be surprised if something similar happened with Sophia leaving the show.

I personally don't know of or have any fall time shows I want to check out. I am open for suggestion!
I have been focused on fantastic Netflix shows at the moment.

Alan...I don't understand how you watched Season 1 of The Killing...liked it, but chose not to watch season 2. Weren't you curious about who the killer is?

I guess we'll never know what really happened. All I've heard for years was that she was let go (years, literally since the show ended, it's all I've heard from a majority consensus) and that's why when she was pursued to return more than once she never did, along with being busy too. I guess we don't know the truth in this either because for years the speculation had been Mark wanted both Chad and Hilarie to return in those last seasons but they didn't until Chad did on his own in season 9 (and Mark took it out on Lucas in that episode) During that specific episode discussion thread live, everyone discussed all of this... such as Mark not doing Hilarie right by letting her go, Chad leaving as Hilarie being a package deal, etc. People were frustrated that Hilarie wasn't in the episode too since it was so bad even Brucas fans didn't mind seeing Leyton again since the show had gone off track so much. Thus, why he was pissed and wrote Leyton in a passive aggressive way via Brooke's lines most of the time. You'd have to closely watch seasons 7-9 to see how vividly obvious it is that Mark was taking something out on them. It's very clear he felt frustration regarding something because over and over again he's writing Leyton like they are in bliss alone and don't care about anyone else for the most part. It's strange and obvious. I also can't wrap my brain around Mark ever destroying Leyton and that was the big talk too... he didn't want to have Leyton with anyone else because they HAD to end up together, it was his happy ending for them so I just can't see him wanting them to end tragically and not together. He's stated and maintained in endless interviews Leyton was meant to be/endgame. I don't think he'd ever go against this reality since Leyton was his baby.

The main problem with me not buying the whole Mark fired Hilarie is his own bitterness, since in my eyes it makes no sense whatsoever for him to pissed that at her leaving if he was the reason for it. It doesn't make much sense when Hilarie herself they aren't and that she chose to leave the show alongside Chad and it wouldn't have surprised me if it got to an point in the negotiations if they both agreed, if one of them left, the other joined them too. . Mark definitely loved Leyton but I think he loved Peyton's character more, which he showed by outlining an storyline for S7 Peyton and even though he wanted LP to have their happy ending, he definitely still wanted Hil/Peyton on the show and that's face it, he liked watching her suffer. Overall, I'm glad that Hilarie left the show at that point so LP could get their well deserved endgame and I wouldn't have enjoyed Peyton being an single mother every week, and Hil probably wouldn't have either.

I agree that Haley should have gone on that tour, but I didn't like the way she handled the situation and also hated the writing for the whole storyline came off as an poor Nathan storyline. IMO, the writers should have thought of an different reason to get Haley/Joy offscreen in S2.

Look at this: One Tree Hill Exclusive: Chad Murray, Hilarie Burton Not Returning | TVLine

It goes along with the theory that I mentioned in the other thread that Mark tried getting them to return and both declined for season 8, with Hilarie citing family and White Collar too. Mark admits he tried getting them to return and seems disappointed. I believe that's when Brooke was the character used to take out his frustration too. I am not sure how it all went down but I am just so glad my ship sailed and got endgame. They received a beautiful happy ending and that's all that matters to me. Seasons 7-9 were not great and the series should have ended earlier but that's okay.

Yes, the tour storyline was very dramatic and I wish it didn't have to be. While it did make sense for Haley to follow her passion, her art, the communication issues and how everything went down was tough. Plus, that moment with Chris was stupid too. I didn't like Nathan almost committing suicide, it was so extreme.

Wow, there's rumors about Jesse and Torrey? Stupid. I've never heard of this before but it wouldn't surprise me if it was just Sophia Stans trying to rub dirt on Jesse in an attempt to make him look bad. :irked: They went there with Chad so why not Jesse too even if it's lies about Jesse. It goes back to what was discussed at the end of the last thread... boundaries/lines have been crossed on both sides and social media plays such a large part in this BS. I credit Jesse for staying out of social media as much as possible and not going there in interviews either. He handles the situation perfectly. I wish more celebrities were like him.

Yes, something is not right with the reasoning behind Sophia leaving PD. Things don't add up. Like you said, she wouldn't have waited so long to make the accusations and absolutely, she wouldn't have signed something either. If it were something major, the media wouldn't let it go... it would be a dog with a bone.

I'm with you. There's nothing new for me. I am satisfied with what I presently have:

Supergirl, The Flash, Riverdale, The 100, Chesapeake Shores

Chesapeake Shores season 2 is halfway completed and The 100 doesn't start until the first of the year so basically I'll have only three shows to concentrate on (in addition to endless sports) and I really like it that way. More and it seems like such a chore since I do discuss each episode. If I only watched shows and didn't like to post on forums it would be easier. I am satisfied with the set up I have now.

What Netflix shows are you watching?

I think that even with that situation, I doubt that Mark is telling the truth since Hilarie said has on multiple occasions (& Joy has even backed this up) that she wasn't asked back for Brooke'e wedding, so the comments made against Peyton/Breyton/Paley had nothing to do with the supposed rejection Mark is suggested. I'm glad they got their endgame and the show should have ended at that point, not only because it was losing two of the main characters, but also because they were clearly out of ideas.

I think they should have gone with an different way to write Haley for the second half of S2 since it was pretty ridiculous that she got that opportunity to tour on that type of stage after only an couple of performances and imo it was obvious that they only used it because Joy was an singer in rl.

SEAL Team

Inhumans

The Gifted

I loved the first season of A Series of Unfortunate Events  Haven't watch Grace & Frankie though.

If you had to replace one storyline out of each season of One Tree Hill (the first six, don't really care about the last three), what would you choose?

Alan, thanks for providing videos of your new shows. I am going to take a look. :)

Season 1... the triangle. I wouldn't want Brooke remotely looking Luke's way from the start.

Season 2... the tour. I would have preferred Joy getting time off another way but I'd still want Haley's music involved though. She could have left to study music, fine tune her music, some advanced college program or something with Nathan totally okay with it. We could have seen them test long distance in a way less dramatic way.

Season 3... Goes without saying Lucas and Brooke's stupid relationship. Keith's death.

Season 4... Psycho Derek.

Season 5... Lindsey ever existing. I couldn't stand her victim mentality, subtle manipulation.

Season 6... Brooke being attacked. Peyton's very serious pregnancy. I wish we would have seen way more fun and smiles surrounding her pregnancy.

What is Grace & Frankie about?
It stars Jane Fonda ,Lily Tomlin, Sam Waterston , Martin Sheen, and Brooklyn Decker (Andy Roddick's wife)

It's a comedy...3 seasons completed and a 4th season on the way.

Here is a summary..
Quote:

For as long as they can recall, Grace and Frankie have been rivals. Their one-upmanship comes crashing to a halt, however, when they learn that their husbands have fallen in love with each other and want to get married. As everything around the ladies is coming apart, the only thing they can really rely on is each other. This Netflix original re-teams Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin ("9 to 5") as Grace and Frankie, respectively, bringing their chemistry to the small screen. It's a casting reunion on a grand scale, as Tomlin is reunited with her co-star from "The West Wing," Martin Sheen, who plays Grace's husband, Robert. And Fonda is back with Sam Waterston, her co-star from "The Newsroom," who plays Frankie's husband, Sol.

That looks really good! The stages thing is hilarious.

So it's a Netflix show, period, right? Do they drop a season at a time or an episode every week?

Strictly Netflix and they drop a season at a time.
