Whoo-hoo! (And yeah, glad to get it behind me. The test was particularly insane -- 230 questions, all of which involved carefully analyzing one literary or critical passage after another. And far too many of those questions involved being able to comprehend Middle English well enough to be able to identify what grammatical role some word played in relation to another. Ack. The University of Virginia grad program had bloody well better accept me after making me do all that.)

You must be really smart! The scene....I really have no idea. I have to really think. |

Hmm. Blatant guess, but is it Edna drinking more because Irv's daughter Cassie and her husband are sitting there, and it's all very awkward?
Good luck to getting into the University of Virginia! I don't know much about it, but I'll take Betty's word, as I always do. That does sound like an insanely intense exam. I've only been in one course that had any Middle English so far, and that was...English Literature 12 in high school! __________________

No...take a close look at the back of the other person's head. Which is a weird clue, but if you know that, you can probably guess the scene.
And thanks for the good luck wishes! I'm in good shape for most of the admission requirements (undergrad GPA, general GRE scores, writing samples, recommendations), but the literature GRE and the "Statement of Academic Interests" that I still have to write are both worrying me a bit. Hoping that both turn out well. (And the repeated emphasis on Middle English drove me crazy -- my last exposure to it was in a Brit Lit survey course my sophomore year of college. My area of interest is mid-twentieth century British literature, so it was a bit of a problem.) __________________

Is she talking to Rose? Hmm. If so, is it right before Rose tells her she has a bruise and is worrying about her cancer returning?
When are you doing the other two requirements? I guess a ton more studying to go. __________________

Heh, I didn't think I'd picked a tough one, but then, yours was unexpectedly tough, too.
The person with whom Edna's sitting is blonde. That should help. __________________

You better! Yes, UVA is one of the most competitive, excellent universities in the country. If Thief gets accepted.....we'll know that she's smart! (As if we didn't already know!) The scene: Is it Edna talking to Linda about her HIV? |

Heh, and I thought the scarcity of Edna/Nina scenes would make it easier to guess. It's in S4.

I'm also really at a loss for any Nina/Edna scenes. Huh. She's got kind of a shocked look on her face, and I don't even know if this scene happens, but is Nina telling her about planning to leave town with Jake?
Why don't I remember this scene??!! __________________

Oh, for heaven's sake. I really didn't anticipate it being this tricky, hee.
I really can't offer any additional clues, so click here for the actual answer (scroll down to the last few paragraphs), if necessary. __________________

We were utterly, utterly hopeless on that one. Even reading the recap and then checking the episode I barely remembered the scene. *hangs head in shame*
I think that's the first time someone's answered their own question. Hee! In this particular thread, anyway. I remember Betty answering one of her own in the trivia thread. I certainly would have never gotten this one! __________________

I don't know if that makes me the best player at this or the worst, heh.
Let's try another: ETA: Oh, please tell me I didn't break the game again... __________________
