Madison Appreciation Thread
 

I truly love the Madison storyline & think it's just what our boys need! I'm not sure how long she will be on the show, but I know she'll at least make another appearence for "Daddy's Little Girl".

So what do you guys think of her & what do you think she could bring to the show?


*Mod- I noticed there was an Anti-Madison thread & thought it was only fair that there was a Pro-Madison thread as well.

They need to have a storyline where Ephram starts hooking up with Madison and gets Amy all jealous. That would be cool to have Ephram with older women, especially since the high school girls don't seem to appreciate him.

Anybody else think about this when Madison first came on the show?

I keep thinking that's where they're going with Madison when I first heard about the babysitter storyline...and I was all very worried since, um, the babysitter? O-kay.

But now, I like Madison. Like the actress. Maybe she can get Ephram to loosen up a bit, forget that he's pining over inconsolable Amy and maybe, you know, get a life. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

I do like Madison, and I think she was 100% right when she was yelling at Ephram and Andy. The only thing I didn't like about her was that she treated Ephram like a child.

I like Madison too. They needed to hear all of that stuff about Delia because it's so obvious to everyone else! And yeah, I didn't like how she treated Ephram but I really do think she did it because she cared, not to be annoying. I hope she sticks around.

I loved Madison. She's quick-witted, funny, and smart. Like everyone's been saying, the boys needed a swift kick in the butt, and she sure did give them one. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Can I just say that I called this before the previews? I should be a writer for the show!!

I love Madison. She's smart, witty, attractive and she's not *that* much older than Ephram. It seems to be she's about 18. Two years isn't that much. I knew a 19 year old girl who was dating a fifteen year old, so I've seen worse in real life. The age thing doesn't put me off at all.

I'm glad Delia will finally have a girl around. And I loved that she told off Andy and Ephram, about time. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

I think the only reason she was treating Ephram like a kid was because he was acting a bit rude and annoying, kid-like towards her. But they seem to have a lot of chemistry. I definately would like to see this relationship go on. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Leigh- Regarding the age, the previews said she was a college student if that helps any. I also agree about Ephram acting like a child. If he didn't want to be treated like one, he shouldn't have acted like one.

I find Madison's nick-names for Ephram so cute! TeddyBear is the only one that comes to mind, but she called him something tonight I just loved. If it comes to me I'll post it!

I thought "Skippy" was a pretty cute nickname for Ephram. Was that the one?

Also? Still don't get the overzealous hate directed at Madison. I'm thinking people just don't like babysitters in general? [img]smilies/goof.gif[/img]

Or...I understand that she kinda came in, started taking over and being generally bossy and overbearing, thinking she's knows what's best and blah blah blah.

But...I thought it was generally funny. Didn't take it all that serious, and well, I thought it was cute. [img]smilies/look.gif[/img] A whole lot of cute, to tell you the truth. Ephram and Madison have sparkling banter between them which I find charming. Plus, I like Sarah and the way she deliver's her lines.

Can't wait to see next week's ep! I don't like the prospect of a romance between E/M, as I doubt anything will really happen, but I can see them doing the friends thing.

It's perfectly all right, we mostly have appriciation threads on the board but we do respect everyone's opinions so we allowed the Anti-thread to stay open.

Orion- I agree, I love the witty banter between the two & I can see them being friends more than I can see them being a couple. I also respect Sarah as an actress & love the way she delivers her lines.

Maria- I totally understand about Anti boards, when kept civil they can be very useful (mostly for ranting). I just wanted to post that because some of the boards I've been to are so iffy about starting new threads in general, I thought it would be nice to give you a second reason on why I wanted to start it.

Btw Orion, Skippy was the name I was thinking about, thanks for thinking of it, it was really starting to bug me!

I think that the Madison character is just what the show needed. The scene where she puts Ephram and Andy in their place was my favorite in the whole episode. She totally spoke my mind.
I can't wait till her and Ephram hook up and make Amy jealous. She can get a taste of her own medicine. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

Ephram has to be at least 16. He's a junior.

Sugarcult Queen- he is 16 or so they've said on the show probably turning 17 later this year
