I agree......but I am puzzled by the fact that several times active posters will just go AWOL for several weeks for no apparent reason.
I can't ever imagine myself doing that. I understand things coming up and being busy....but to post one day.....then drop off the face of the Earth the next day?

I just don't know...

I seriously wish I could do that, actually....

LOL.

Yeah it's kind of interesting noticing this. I think overall there is a trend in that most diehards always end up back here, it's rare for them to go permanently MIA. In fact, I can count on one hand a small number that have completely left. People always keep coming back, this is home to most diehards of the show. Sometimes you can venture away for a while but you never forget where you came from, you always end right back to where it feels the most comfortable. I think that's why this board has done so exceptional. Somewhere along the way we developed a unique core of people who have done their part in maintaining this board. It's really a great situation. In fact, I am well aware of many boards who had almost triple the activity whenever the show was on air and now, the boards are absolutely dead. Whereas this board has always been about quality, not quantity and a unique passion for enduring. It's pretty special.

I'm sure glad I found it. Can you imagine me essentially talking to myself about Everwood? I know I don't talk about the show everyday, but I really do almost get an urge to watch an ep, and then I get the urge to talk about it and then bam, here's a place to do it. Everwooditis. I hope to hell there's no cure.

LOL! That would be cute but then again if you did this while walking around in public some witnesses might suggest you hit the nearest shrink office to give you a hand.

Aw, so glad you're here. And there's no cure, I've checked.

And yet, maybe some witnesses would be all, "Everwood! I love that show!" I don't think I'll try it out, though. But I bet there's quite a few. Someone has to have bought the DVDs at the Bestbuy!

Hehe, I'm glad we've all got this Everwooditis. Maybe we have to start an epidemic.

Are you sure you don't mean epidermis?[/Bright]

Apparently I'm feeling whimsical tonight.

I feel bad for even asking, but those who know me, my memory is one of the worst ever.

But was this color scheme/board look around when I was mod or is this relatively new? Coz either way, I like Very Everwoodish

Everwood Quote Help

hey everyone,

i was wondering if someone could help me out. i'm looking for a quote/episode where dr. abbott (i'm pretty sure it was him) is describing what medicine means. i remember it going along the lines of medicine was intended to stop death, just ease the comfort of living...

thanks for your help in advance.

Welcome to the board.

You know, I really thought this was either going to be in Vegetative State (the one with the pot) or one of the arguments with Linda over western vs eastern medicine, but no luck thus far. But, I'm crap with quotes anyway, so hopefully someone else can find it for you.

I think so, too. It's a must, this disease is an absolute must.

rbardem, welcome to the board. Oh man yeah like Tos my instant thought was it has to be pertaining to Colin or Linda in some way. Or maybe whenever Andy thought about leaving Everwood for Chicago? Or did it revolve around the abortion episode whenever Harold was struggling with what to do? If I had the time I would go through the transcripts and find it but it might be like looking for a needle in the haystack. Possibly over the weekend I could have a look if no one else can answer you. I am rather horrendous at remembering things like this so I bet by the time I do or look through the transcripts someone else will have answered you already. Nevertheless, I'll keep thinking about it until then.

Just wondering if we've got the post count data yet? No rush or anything, but I'm always interested. I'm sure it'll be down, summer months and all and posters away on vacation or just away (bad posters, bad!) but yeah, just wondering.

Thanks Alex.

I have no idea how we got almost 59 a day last year and I was here when we did it. But we've definitely got enough, especially for the summer. Definitely good!
