Life on the Everwood Board
(News, Thread suggestion, Events etc)

This board is special. We're a little family. That's out strength. Every member here is mature and bring something to the board which we appreciate a lot. As it is this way, we'd like to offer the possibility for everyone that wishes to be more involved.

With the show gone, keeping the board alive can become difficult, especially with no airing in syndication.

We'd like to use this thread as a way to communicate together on the board, on its future, on what you'd like to see on it etc.

Suggestions for the board

We have a rule, at FF, not to create threads for everything. That's why, most of the time, the mod create the threads and members just post on the ones available.

But maybe you'd like another thread ? Maybe you'd like to create a debate on a certain subject ? Maybe you'd like to see a new game thread ?
Maybe you think one specific thread is lame and should be modified ?

If you have ideas, please suggest them here Yours are as good as ours and we can make the board better together.

Events

From time to time, Events are organised at FF. The Fanforum Music Video contest is one example. Those are for the whole site. But we can organise events on the Everwood board only.

There's various things that could be done here. The fanart contest was obviously unadapted to this board but I think a number of events could be organised that would fit the board.
Maybe you'd like the board to hold a "rewrite a scene" thread where everyone could rewrite a specific scene of the show that felt OOC.
Maybe you'd like to create an Everwood quizz event ?

Board Questions

When are the post counts released ?
Post counts are made by Jerry monthly and he generally post them on on the mods board one of the first week end of the month. We check regularly and give them to you whenever we get them.

When is a new thread created ?
A new thread is created once the old one reaches 300 posts. it's a FF rules to avoid slowing down the board too much. If Michelle or I don't create the new thread, you can absolutely create it.

how to I link to the new thread in the previous one ?

This board has never been crazy regarding post counts, which is a good thing on one side because we can have deep discussion here, but you maybe aware that there's a rule at FanForum that every board needs to hold a minimum average of 15 posts per day to remain on FanForum.
We will inform you what the Post Count for this board are and even if Michelle and I are very much paying attention to providing this number of posts ourselves, a little help from you guys can really help keeping this board alive.

Just a small thing, but maybe should change the Everwood Music link, which is sadly dead, and tell people they can search for it on the web archive or even provide a link to it so they can still see Everwood Music. Less long-winded explanation for that, probably. Heh.

I actually collected the info on that link a little while ago, I'm planning on building a sort of Everwood simple archive site with transcripts, music listings and links maybe, so that it's not lost. what do you guys think ?

In the midtime, I should add that list on the Music thread and link to that.

I think it's a very good idea. Since Everwood never was a huge show with loads of good fansites, it's important that someone takes responsibility to preserve all information possible. It's so great we have someone like you, who knows how to get these things done

Big time . Having a site like that is a great idea, especially when new fans are finding this on the WB.com thing, or *crosses fingers* DVDs or repeats, or just old fans wanting to know more about this show.

Post count for June 2008 is 43.87
it's a little less than the last 2 months but that is to be expected during the summer. Not to mention I've been very busy lately and barely posting guys, I'm sorry.

Still, so very good numbers. Anything above 30 is awesome, seriously ! Thanks to you all

Very good numbers! And as you said, with summer, extra good. It's natural to slow down a bit, but 43, wow, niiice! I'm sure it'll slow down a bit more too until the fall with new shows and theWB.com and all that, but we're doing fantastic for the summer. Thanks everyone!

Some months it'll go up, some months it'll go down, but definitely, we've never been anywhere close to being in any trouble and with theWB.com, Rina's show and just lots more to discuss with the show itself, I don't see that changing anytime soon. This place rocks!
