An apartment, rented in someone's (very large) house; the whole lower level was converted into studio apartments which the homeowner rents out to university students. Fully furnished, all utilities (and cable) included in the rent, which is about the same as that for other, unfurnished apartments, so, nice deal. I originally applied for on-campus housing (single-student apartment, no roommates for me), but the wait to get in there is a year.

Roommates can be a pain..if you get a bad one. But..they could be a good thing for the sake of making friends. |

Sounds like a great place to be staying, though. Is the homeowner nice? __________________

The homeowner is very nice. Older, on the staff of another area university. He lets tenants' family members stay in his house when visiting, offers to run out to the market if someone's really in need of something at an odd hour. And he has a cute dog he's permitted me to come upstairs to visit if I ever need to hang out with a pet, hee. (The downstairs has a separate entrance from the house proper, so there's no regular crossing of paths; I haven't actually seen him since moving in yesterday afternoon, heh.) __________________

It's too bad that he doesn't have cat. That would have been really lucky! Still, a dog is better than nothing. Especially a cute one, heh.
Just letting everyone know that I'll be away on a short little trip from Tuesday (tomorrow) to Thursday or Friday. So, I want you all to be good, little posters, and help Betty out and post lots. And if not, I'll have to start handing out detentions upon my return. __________________

That's actually the irony of Umbridge. She was pure evil... just a very bad, bad person. She wasn't even a Death Eater which was deliberate on Rowling's part since like she said, there are simply people out there who don't have a "reason" to be diabolical, they just are and Umbridge was one of them which made her and the entire story all the more scary. |

A friend of mine wants me to go see the new Harry Potter movie with her. Her husband is not interested.
I haven't read any of the other books or seen the other movies. She game me a bunch of cassettes of the books so that I can catch up and enjoy the movie. I'm searching my house for a cassette player! I think they're obsolete. |

Cassettes are VERY COOL while reading the books. I have them and use them or do a silent read depending on my mood. Oh man I would quite like this if you went for it with Harry Potter, I don't believe you would be disappointed. It would be great sharing this with you, we could all share our thoughts together. Of course I am not trying to put any pressure on what you decide to do even if I have a strong opinion on what I want you to do. |

Well, I found a cassette player. I guess I'd better start.
I wish there was more summer left. |

YAY, you're doing it! Any questions on anything, I am your personal Potter tutor. Hee. When would you go to the HBP film? When do you go back to teaching for that matter? The day after Labor like they go back here? |

No date has been set to see the film. It's all pending on me and my listening powers! I guess I should start. |
