Hey y'all,
I checked everywhere and it occured to me that we don't have an OT thread here. In an effort to get more people to come over here, it would be good to establish a sense of community here so that everyone one can feel welcome. Some of us are not exclusive to this board, but I have to say that this place has become my fave place to hang...I think the pretty colors help [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

What are your holiday plans? If you could take a dream vacation this winter, where would you go?

I'll start. I plan to spend the holidays at home with my family. We have a special candlelight service as well as holiday festivities at my church, so I'm looking forward to those [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]
If I could take a dream vacation, it would be to Jamaica. I was born there and I haven't visited in almost 5 years. It's always warm and beautiful and I could use some of that right now.
My rant would be that final exams suck. Nuff said.

as for my holidays...not quite sure but i think my mom's two brothers and sister-in-law are coming over...we just moved kinda far away from them so i'm not sure. i also will be assisting the junior high kids in a special christmas eve youth mass (i'll play my trumpet)

if i could be anywhere for vacation it'd be somewhere warm! it's too cold up here!

A bunch of family members are coming over for Christmas and I'm just going to finally catch up on all the sleep I have missed, and of course I'll be watching my tapes of Everwood, etc. A dream vacation for the Holidays..probably Utah [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

Only six days left before I'm finally done with exams. That also means that I'll be leaving school and as a result won't be at the board as much as I'd like [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img] I hope everyone has a safe holiday [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]
Does anyine here follow college football? My school is playing for the Division I title on Friday. Woohoo!!

well, I gotta do 7 chapters of notes for AP US History during my Christmas break which totally sucks. I won't have time for my Everwood marathon. [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img]

I'm also singing for church. And it's funny that one of the songs we're singing is a song that I learned how to sing in French for my French class.

But did you guys hear about Saddam? They captured him. That's some pretty big news, eh?

I think a discussion about this started in the Jailbait thread but I was wondering what the general concensus was regarding the use of sex to sell products and enhance ratings.
Next week's episode will focus on the relationships of Amy/Tommy and Madison/Ephram being taken to another level. I'm very interested in seeing how it plays out, but would I have been if the prospect of consummation weren't mentioned?

In light of the Janet Jackson/Superbowl half-time incident, has this ploy by the media been overused?
I would really love to know what you all think.

Alrighty, since we need to keep our post count up I was thinking that we could revive this thread.
This semester...er, season is almost over. With exams, projects, presentations, etc, clouding the present, let's think ahead to our summer break. Anyone got any fun plans? [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

I'm heading back to the summer job that I've had for the last three years with a forest restoration organization (hug a tree!). I'm hoping for good weather [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

As usual, we aren't limited to the discussion topic. We're here to have fun and vent whenever need be. OK, let's get posting...lunchtime's almost over.
