Our wonderful Story #4!



Bright was drunk after consuming several Irish coffees, which resulted in a terrible collision with a huge snowmobile. "Dude! Watch for and brake for elves!" exclaimed a disoriented marshmallow-filled Bright. Nothing seemed unusual except for the fact that he thought elves had raised him as one of their own. Suffering from delusion, Bright continued his tirade against the hideous snowmobile driver. Unbeknownst to Bright, the snowmobile driver was actually holding a gun to Wendell's stuffed teddy bear. "Don't even think about it!" growled Teddy Bear. "Nifty!" said Bright, who also realized that Delia was tickling Wendell. "Delia! You're being weird! Don't tickle weirdos! They'll suddenly turn into vampire-dinosaurs! Like Ephram! They'll sparkle!" Delia ignored his warning and ran into the Teddy Bear. "You little stinker," cried Bright. But Teddy had already grabbed the snowmobile driver and was removing his gun. Wendell looked horrified, but realized that Teddy was a cop! The bear laughed and said, "Wendell, you fool, didn't you realize that all Teddy Bears lead double lives? Some are Santa bears and some are tap-dancing firefighters. Others are cops!" In the snowmobile several Teddy Bears surrounded the driver and took control of the sticky cotton candy-coated steering wheel. Bright asked Delia why she was smiling while the bears were playing cops. Delia declared that she finally realized why Bright was drunk. "You've found out Hannah has been writing a play about a drifter who resembles Topher! You're jealous!!!" Bright scoffed at Delia saying, "Please! Bright doesn't ever get jealous of ass hats." Delia shrugged, and thought of the time Charlie kicked Magilla's Barbie Doll across Andy's office and broke his lava lamp into numerous pieces. Charlie froze when he saw Edna march into his room and proceed to pull him by the ears. Delia saw a resemblance between the actions of Charlie & Bright! While Delia reminisced, Wendell punched Teddy in the tummy because he could! Teddy started to hand-cuff Wendell and read him the snowmobile driver's original sonnet. Bright interrupted this preposterous performance of police activity. "Prithee! What art thou doingest Constable Ted? Thy weirdo friend is innocent! Unhand him now! Go catch a drug addict and be quick about it." The driver gasped when a second teddy bear came out of the dashboard! The second bear looked at Wendell and said, "No more Vermont Teddy Bears for you!!!" Wendell began to cry and stomp his feet until Delia kicked him in the shins and slapped him across the face. "Grow up, Wendell! I'm more mature than you'll ever be! Bright is more mature than you, and he thinks he's an elf!"
"Thanks. Delia, I needed that. I think I'll go now," and off Wendell scampered, sadder but wiser. By now, Bright had sobered up, but his thirst was insatiable. He searched high and low for a Coke, while Delia turned to the teddy bears and said, "Your work is done here!"
