EVERWOODIAN AWARDS 2005 OFFICIAL VOTING LIST

Okay, after a very long delay, here we have the final voting list for the Everwoodian Awards 2005. Some categories only had one nomination, so those win by default and I haven't bothered listing them on here. If some nominations were cut, it's because we already had enough noms. seconded, or they were voted to be cut. Categories all have 5 nominations, unless there weren't enough things nominated.... that's why there is less than 5 in some categories. Voting starts today (Friday August 19th) and goes till one week from now - Friday August 26th at 9 pm. The winners should be posted sometime on Saturday. Now, to vote... choose ONE nomination from each category and PM all your choices, along with the categories that they come from, to EphramIsHot, before Friday, August 26th at 9 pm. I'm totally behind this 100%, and I'm willing to do most of the grunt work (planning, counting votes, etc.)

So I'm thinking we should first suggest different categories for nominations. Then we can go from there. Here are the categories every award show should have:

- Best Leading Male Actor
- Best Leading Female Actor
- Best Supporting Male Actor
- Best Supporting Female Actor
- Best Season 1, 2, and 3 episodes

Those are just the basics. How about we give everybody until Friday, June 24th at 8 p.m. to submit categories. Then we can go about selecting the nominees. So go ahead, suggest categories! I'll use all of them, unless there is a major disagreement over one. Then we can discuss it.

Guys, I think it's best that I stay out of this for the time being. Since I'm leaving tomorrow, I probably shouldn't make any suggestions for now. I will certainly help out whenever I return on Sunday. I love everyone's thoughts and ideas, though. Keep up the good work.

- Best Progression of a Storyline in Season 1, 2 and 3 (what do you mean by that? Just curious)
- Best Plot Line in Season 1, 2 and 3
- Best Medical Story in Season 1, 2 and 3 (I think we should have this one be a one-episode Medical Story. Otherwise Colin will sweep the Season 1 category )
- Best Guest Star, Seasons 1, 2 and 3 (aka someone who does NOT appear in the opening credits)
- Best Song, Seasons 1, 2, and 3 (theme song obviously doesn't count)

Question is. Who is leading and who is supporting? You could argue since Delia is on the shelf and the show is centered on Ephram and Andy moving to Everwood they are the only "leads" and everyone else is "supporting."

I'd restrict the categories to regulars and guests. Course then you could argue over whether say Irv counts as a guest or a regular.

Guest=after the opening credits or after the episode is over

You took the words right out of my mouth, Gaby. So Rose Abbott is considered a regular. Hannah is considered a guest, although she was in many episodes.

I think that "leading" characters should be Ephram, Andy, Harold, Amy, and maybe Nina. "Supporting" characters would be others in the opening credits, such as Delia, Edna, Irv, Rose, and Bright. Although we might be able to bump Bright up into "leading". Then again, if we did it that way, there'd be maybe three nominees in the Best Leading/Supporting Actor/Actress category. So maybe we should have Best Leading Actor/Actress as ANYONE who appears on the opening credits, Best Supporting Actor/Actress as someone who is/has been a regular on the show (Colin, Madison, Tommy, Hannah, Linda, Amanda, etc.), and Best Guest Star someone who's only been in, say, a maximum of three episodes (Wendall, Carl, Dr. Trott, etc.). Some of these, such as Best Guest Star, will probably have to be mixed-gender, because there aren't enough of them to make Male and Female categories. Did any of that make sense to anyone? What do you all think of that? Need me to re-explain my thoughts?

We'll get all this sorted out by Monday (June 27th) at 9 p.m., and then we'll come up with a maximum of five nominees for each category.
