That’s too bad. I think I would have checked out the series had it received a season two.

Exactly. I can't believe we've never seen that article. Maybe we have but don't remember since it was so long ago. I do remember avoiding a lot of interviews/media stuff after cancellation became official since I was so heartbroken though.

Nope. If you had a brain and heart, you were crushed over the cancellation of this one of a kind, beautiful series.

I still don't understand it, especially since it was cancelled so the Completely Worthless Network (Trademark Michelle) could bring back that crapfest 7th Heaven, which bombed the next season. It was also cancelled to make room for a new show called Runaway that got cancelled after 3 episodes. Great move, Dawn Ostroff.

Right? I won't understand it either. Remember when Completely Worthless Network actually had Everwood already inserted firmly on their website? There was a page dedicated to Everwood. We all saw it here on this board and celebrated. Within about 12-24 hours, it was taken down and suddenly news broke Everwood was pulled in favor of trash by comparison. There was Karma involved (Dawn getting canned, these other series flopping or receiving really bad endings), no doubt about it. But it will always hurt thinking about what they did to Everwood. Everwood had better ratings than the vast majority of shows taken too. Proof it wasn't about ratings or quality. It was about a brand, a flavor, nothing else.

The WB never even cared about Everwood. Remember how it changed nights like it didn't even matter? Ratings still held though. Whenever the network pulled something, Everwood always bit back, strong and determined. The WB never promoted Everwood either, but it went nuts with promotion for shows like Dawson's Creek and OTH.

That's so true.

Last night, I watched a few Everwood clips, like Ephram confronting his father thinking that he had cheated on Julia when in fact Julia had cheated on him, and when Andy told Ephram why he moved them to Everwood, and the acting on this show was so absolutely incredible, and the storylines were so moving and that idiot head of The CW threw it all away for trash shows.

The WB promoted Joey Potter singing to her mugger... about as pathetic as it gets.

I honestly believe Everwood was far too intellectual for both TPTB on the WB and the CW. They couldn't understand the language, it was too high quality and above them which is why they disregarded for lower quality shows they felt the younger population could relate to more.

I remember reading this years ago when it came out. Just reread now.

'Everwood,' Despite Finale, Offers Hearts That Keep Throbbing

This writer even captures the typical Everwood fan too. Great read.

Hey everyone, I haven't posted here in years and it's sad that this isnt on a better note, but just to let everyone know; Stephanie Niznik, our beloved Nina, has passed away. I'm friends with her on Facebook and someone else who knows her tagged her mentioning this and upon looking at her profile, it does appear to be the case. She was 52.

Hi. Great to see you around here again.

Such sad news about Stephanie Niznik, though.

I’m trying to find information on this. Did she pass away today?

This is just so sad. Thoughts and prayers with her friends and family.
