This is why I refuse to watch network TV at this time. Mad enough I stumbled upon this on Twitter.

This is... bizarre and makes my skin crawl:

It is amazing when you look at death rate % for the countries hardest hit whether we're talking just hardest hit in general or they have so many people so they're going to have a lot of cases... Italy is nearly 10% whereas US, South Korea and Germany are very low, .4 - 1.2.

One chart shows 10 countries' current coronavirus death rates, based on known cases and deaths. Italy's is highest: nearly 10%.

It is unreal how vastly different the numbers are. US, Germany and South Korea are doing an incredible job.

I feel so sorry for people in Italy. Even Spain, UK and France have higher percentages I wouldn't be expecting. I don't know why this is. Population (so many people in small spaces?) Technology? Maybe a combination of both.

Having an idiot like this as my state's Lieutenant Governor makes me ashamed to live in Texas.

:(

I couldn't even believe what I was hearing. He sounds crazy. I am not remotely a fan of Tucker Carlson but even he looks completely blown away by what he was hearing.

We are fortunate here in Minnesota. Governor Tim Walz is really good. He is being commended by all Minnesotans no matter the political preference (even though Minnesota is largely Democrat). Governor Tim Walz is a Democrat but Republicans are even commending him for his compassion, fight for the state, and just how he's taking care of the state in general. He's really taking a terrific approach. According to recent polls, Minnesota is basically #1 in the country for following the social distance rules, etc. Some of that is the culture here in Minnesota, family values, etc. But a lot of it is Governor Tim Walz leading the charge and faith and trust in the leader. It really helps when everyone is united together.

We need this throughout the country. We have to be united at the state level and also as a country. We will get through this.

Hopefully Dan Patrick will never win another election.

He's crazy. Seriously. He HAS to be crazy. You can see he's ultra conservative (but in that 1% bigggggg time category). However, there's also a ton of conservatives that are leading the backlash charge too. No one agrees with him whether you are a Democrat, Republican, Independent, Moderate. Absolutely bizarre.

What all this has done is expose Trump and the Republicans for what they are: Totally devoid of any humanity and only caring about the bottom line.

I don't believe most Republicans would agree with this. I don't know any who would! What he said is Asinine!

I wasn't talking about Dan Patrick's statement above. I was talking about Trump saying we should all be back to work by Easter, and the Republican Party in general, who always put business interests first undoubtedly agreeing with him in many circles. While I do hope that this situation won't last long, because I don't want anyone deprived of their livelihood (including me and my wife) right now, I'm more concerned with saving lives than trying to get people back to work too soon and having the death rate rise even more than it is.

I feel I'm among friends here so I'll be honest: There are parts of me that are Conservative and I do want our economy to be strong, and I wish that more manufacturing jobs could be brought back to this country to make us stronger and strengthen the Middle Class. There are also parts of me that are Liberal, especially because I'm Pro-Union, but sadly, most of the corporations in America now have their manufacturing done in places like China due to the cheap labor, and most states now are "Right To Work" states. You know what 'Right To Work" means? It was a union-busting tactic which basically means a company can fire you at any time for any reason, or for no reason. My father was able to retire at 58 with a comfortable pension because he was in a union, but I'll have to work until I'm 70 and still worry about having enough money to retire on because I don't have a pension and I'm not in a union. The Democratic Party and the Republican Party have become parties of extremes, with the Democrats to the extreme left, and the Republicans to the extreme right. There's no room for moderate candidates now, so for someone like me, who tends to be somewhat middle of the road and moderate, there's no where for me to turn.
