They were students. I'm not sure for what reason. Did they think it would be funny? I'm just shocked what goes through the minds of some kids and it makes me wonder what we are doing wrong. I'm not taking it personally, but it is my nature as a teacher to put on my teacher hat. We can blame parents, but we had bad parents back in the day too. Action needs to be taken, but I'm not sure gun control is the answer. There is a bigger issue than that.

As someone who lives outside of the US, I think gun culture over there is just too far integrated to part of most people's lives for gun control to very really change.

The day after the attack a neighboring School district near me in Jersey closed down to investigate a questionably social media post.

It's just so sad. Nothing is going to be done either. To think about these innocent children and teachers who go to school daily and are at risk of getting murdered ( ) because we are not protecting them. I just can't believe this.

They didn’t specify what was said. The just that there was a video posted on Instagrsm of a threatening nature snd they are questioning the individuals involved in the video.

It will just happen again and again and again if nothing is done. We have to take these events with more care, and hearts need to be changed. I think what is different this time is that the high school students are speaking up.
