Why is what I want to know. Is it simply so Joey always shines or was there more to it?

Thanks Jerry! I honestly wonder how long Jen and CJ lasted. I have a feeling it didn’t last that long in NYC. I couldn’t get into them as a couple in the 2nd half of S6.

Well, Tony had mentioned in the past that some of the producers didn't like Michelle Williams, so that probably factored in, plus the writers and producers didn't seem to know what to do with certain characters, like Jen and Andie, once they were no longer the love interest of Dawson or Pacey. I also think that the writers and producers had a misogynistic bent as all the female characters with the exception of Joey were trashed on the show, and even Joey was reduced to the object of adoration for Dawson and Pacey and everything came down to who would "win" her.

I spent so time writing about this show, and I still have a lot of what I wrote, but ultimately all this show did was disappoint me.

I couldn’t either. They weren’t written with any sort of long term possibility.

I don't think that they lasted long. I couldn't get into them as a couple either. It wasn't even made clear if CJ was the father of Jen's baby. I heard he got into something Supernatural after they broke up, so he probably wasn't Amy's father.

Yes, definitely the fact that Michelle refused to play the game had to have played a part. Agree with everything you said.

I definitely didn’t write up long reviews on the series. I’ve spent a long time debating and writing up thoughts but I never took out the time to write extensive reviews on every episode. I started the fandom thing later. I’ve spent way more time on Everwood. For that I thank my lucky stars.

You were really lucky.

When I look back on some of the episode commentaries that I wrote during Season Four, I sort of held back some of my disdain for Pacey and Joey because I was the moderator of the Dawson's Creek board here, and I would often post my true feelings on the Dawson and Joey thread there, but the Pacey and Joey fans hated me anyway and they tried to get me removed as a moderator and thrown off the website, so in hindsight I shouldn't have held back.

You definitely shouldn't have. Especially since they didn't hold back on their hatred for Dawson and Dawson/Joey without even having valid reasons why they had the hatred. At least you gave insightful reasoning.

I remember if I posted anything positive about D/J in any thread besides the D/J thread one P/Jer in particular would always jump on me and say I was making things up. I won’t say the full handle but it started with J. Only reason I remember her is because it was non stop and super annoying.

Here's a youtube clip I thought long lost, But it popped up, so here it is.

Everyone is on their best behaviour, so no startling revelations.

I’ve never seen all of this before. I think I might have seen a tiny part of Josh’s interview but not the entire thing and none of the other bits. Thanks for finding this, Tony!

I loved the 601/02 promo so much and was so excited. Sadly my happiness only lasted an hour when the episodes aired. I was so upset.

It was probably julialex. She was one of the worst ones.

Julialex, Jaycee, and Sugz I had the most issues with. The two Js were outwardly ruthless and didn’t care. I found Sugz even more problematic because I saw through her BS. She came across as more passive aggressive and silently antagonistic but still had the same manipulative traits as the other two. She’d start a topic knowing damn well she was setting up DJ and PA fans to get attacked by the PJ fandom. I understood her every move even before she made the move.
