Internet = smallest group.
If we did a poll involving every single Dawson's Creek viewer on the planet who has ever seen the show, even if they dropped it at some point in time (most likely around season 3/4, just a guess  )... Guaranteed the poll would turn out much differently. |

It was amazing on IMDB to watch the Dawson Creek forum shift from P/J to P/A
A number of them stated they were P/J fans when they watched the show as a teen, but upon re-watch as an adult they were P/A. Several of the posters could not believe; they once rooted for P/J. They had several reasons; most have been discussed here. The incessant arguing, Joey's trouble with the truth, her very obvious affection of Dawson over Pacey. and there is no way in Hell that Andie would have cheated on Pacey. One of my favourite scenes from DC was the expression on Joey's face when she saw Dawson and Gretchen kissing, The scene says it all. |

I really wish IMDB still had a forum.
I remember when the show was live and I dealt with the PJ fans. Seriously, 80% at least were Josh/Pacey fans first. That was their motivation. I would love to see what their views are now as adults/older adults. I would bet many have changed their minds now that the Josh/Pacey crush is gone and they're looking at things from a mature/intellectual perspective. I don't know how any PJ fan can justify that Dawson/Gretchen scene. Some will say it's due to Joey only feeling like she's losing her place in Dawson's life, lol. Right. No. |
