 So true! Chad/Sophia had a relationship and still didn't have magnificent chemistry! Then it was even worse when they split. You make a great point about Sophia not being a Brucas fan. It's very possible she played it like that on purpose. Every interview I have seen with Sophia talking about the triangle, she always made it known Brooke/Lucas were not the real deal. She even admitted she was a Lucas/Peyton fan, even wore a t-shirt supporting Lucas/Peyton. Sophia understood what was going on and she supported the meant to be pairing in Lucas/Peyton. I will bet you're right and her portrayal of Brooke and Brooke/Lucas reflected her understanding of the storyline, not to mention what she personally wanted, lol.

Precisely. Sophia understood Lucas and Brooke were not healthy. They were not balanced or healthy in the least.

 She is, indeed. She understand the storyline from day 1... which is why she disliked Brooke/Lucas.

Right. I never looked at Lucas and Brooke and thought they had terrible chemistry... not the worst I had ever seen. But I was never impressed. You're right, it definitely got worse as the series moved along too. I will bet Sophia played it a certain way from the start (knowing Brooke/Lucas were not meant to be) and then when the situation with Chad got messed up, all the more she was fed up with Brooke and Lucas. How could she not be? I am sure she was just as disgusted Brucas 2.0 existed (due to storyline purposes only) let alone the real life stuff, too.

LOL I will always be perplexed that some thought Brooke/Lucas were legit? There wasn't any hope written in their scenes. Same theme throughout.

Compare to Nathan/Haley and Lucas/Peyton who were always written as serious and long term from the start. Even when Nathan/Haley got started and you wondered if they could make it work... even with Nathan loving how Lucas might not approve... you still saw how quickly things came together for Nathan/Haley. They were on the same page very quickly. They made it work given all the circumstances surrounding them because they were meant to be and the writing was strong and indicated as much. Lucas/Brooke were just the opposite.

Hell, I was disgusted with the Brucas 2.0 stuff, so I'm sure she was too lol.

 It had to be really tough for Sophia. She knew the Brooke/Lucas story was a flop and not only did she have to do it twice but had to go there with someone she did have a real life relationship with that ended badly. Brucas 2.0 had to be miserable for her especially.

I felt really bad when she had to act out the Chris Keller stuff in S3 when Chad had embarrassed like that.
