I agree. It's that whole mindlessness that appeals to me at the moment, though. It stops me from thinking... I just go blank, which is a relief these days. There is something to be said for that. Sometimes I want mindless escapism... most of the time I want thought-provoking, but at the moment my thoughts are being sufficiently provoked elsewhere.

That being said, I could not handle OTH in direct comparison to Everwood either. You can have fast food on one day, a fancy, five-course meal on another, and be perfectly happy with both, but you wouldn't eat them together.

I know what you mean. I watch my superhero shows and sports for distraction. I like action-packed stuff. Takes me into a different world. Or just a fun comedy causes the mindless effect. I completely understand what you mean.

I like leyton, but still no go for being my fave couple. If thats any consolation. and brooke and chase are sweet.

I thought they could have done more with Brooke and Chase. I thought they were cute as well. I have a feeling they would have ended up together if the series concluded after S4. Not that they were remotely ready for this reality. But I could see a time jump and finding out they were together just because Brooke would be paired with someone and that was who she was last with. But I did find some of their moments cute overall and could see the potential there.

I'm happy that the show never ended after S4 for that reason, lol

They definitely needed to evolve the relationship because sometimes it came across as Chase being too good for Brooke. If they constructed it in a way where the relationship taught Brooke some things and she actually felt guilty and sorry for being such a witch in the earlier seasons it would’ve worked much better. Had some good content there that simply wasn’t cashed in like a lot of storylines on this show.

Considering how he handled the sex tape coming out, I'm not sure he was too good for Brooke
