Yes and yes. Instead of Brucas 2,0 I would have loved seeing Lucas focusing on writing. I would have preferred him dating someone like at the school newspaper instead of Brooke. It could've been fun and casual and at least made sense since they matched better intellectually and with similar interests. Could have mutually split. He would have had some casual fun while focused on writing while Leyton were delayed.

Season 2 - We met her parents and the show really explores why Brooke acts the way she does.

Season 3 - Still starts Clothes over Bros, but her interest in making clothes is hinted at the previous seasons.

Season 4 - Brooke remains single this season

Season 5 - Clothes over Bros isn't as successful as it is

Season 6 - Julian isn't Peyton ex (couldn't think of anything else, lol)

Season 1 - He still remains a dick for most of the season and he doesn't get emancipated

Season 2 - Moves in with Keith and starts to work at Dan's dealership/the garage

Season 3 - Tim doesn't suddenly leave (This season is more or less perfect for Nathan, so it was hard to think of anything).

Season 4 - No point shaving arc

Season 5 - His injuries kill his NBA career, but happens he gets drafted. Still has the same downhill spiral though

Season 6 - He starts to show some interest in becoming a scout, which leads to him joining the Bobcats in that role.

Perfect!

So unrealistic he suddenly changed in season 1.

Mark missed out big time not going with Nathan/Keith.

Point shaving arc was just as irritating as Brucas 2.0.

I think it's because sadly most of her story was just tied to Nate and getting married.

Mark missed so many opportunities for Haley to have more of her own story. When you really think about it for the vast majority of the time she really was best friend of Lucas and girlfriend/wife to Nate. Which is why seasons 7-9 should have focused more on giving Haley better storylines instead of ridiculous Clay/Quinn.

Would have been nice to see the show developed that side of him more, especially since he didn't have great individual storylines either.

He really did, which sucked big time. Especially since Joy was so talented.

Which I never loved. I feel like they had to give him that so he couldn't go on and play college basketball or professionally when the reality is it would have been organic in feel just having Lucas choose academics and focus on writing. Nate was destined for professional ball. Lucas was destined for writing. Just didn't like how it almost made it seem like Lucas had choices taken away. He really didn't. He was good at basketball but an elite writer. He didn't need a serious heart disease to make any sort of choice.
