Sophia understood the story. She knew Brooke and Lucas were not the meant to be pairing. She knew they were unhealthy and not the pairing to root for. She knew Lucas/Peyton were the real deal and embraced their story. She probably figured on an otherwise teen soap, Lucas/Peyton were the substance-filled, strongest part of the story.
