I actually did. I thought he was good for her and brought the best out in her. It was the first time I found myself genuinely rooting for a Brooke relationship. But, I also felt like we saw more Sophia and less Brooke. She had a good relationship with other women. She was fun and playful and there was a depth to her relationship with him. I even enjoyed the OTT weird story line where she had trouble conceiving at first.

I think overtime, we saw a lot more Sophia than we did a Brooke character in later seasons. Also, Austin Nichols and Sophia were dating at the time that Brooke and Julian were dating. Oddly enough, Sophia had been burned by Chad, Brooke had been burned by Lucas. So there were a lot of similarities that Sophia could draw from with real life experiences being bought into her character when it came to the Brooke and Julian relationship.
Plus, Julian was the only one to push into Brooke and make her really feel what she was feeling. He didn't allow her to run away and hide when the feelings to too real, he challenged her in many ways she had never allowed herself to be challenged before.
Maybe I'm indifferent, but I was really mad when Brooke was able to have a baby. Not that she doesn't deserve kids. But there was an admission in Season 4 when Brooke told Mouth she couldn't have kids and that's why she never worried about getting pregnant. It was around the time that Brooke was taking the pregnancy story away from Haley so Haley had time to tell Nathan and get used to the idea of being pregnant.
Then in Season 6 (I think), it was again addressed when Brooke wasn't able to get pregnant because she could not have kids. It was never addressed in Season 4 or 6 as to why she couldn't...she was just written that she couldn't have kids.
Then miracle twins happened and it's like Brooke was always able to have kids. Like What The Hell? What about the stories from the past that debilitated Brooke knowing she would never be a mom? I'm not trying to step on any toes or get into a fued about fertility. But it was about following a story that was set in stone seasons before and then what...forgotten about. I realize the dick of them all was at the helm before and Season 9 had a different showrunner/writers...etc. I just really wish they would've stuck to the story at hand and not made the alternate reality to suit the story that we were then seeing.
