I think there is definitely some truth to the money line, but I also thought he had enough of the role unless he was getting a bit of money lol

This could have played a part. Sophia situation might have been another factor. Since we know even recently she was getting in digs, imagine her behavior on the set back then. He’d be only human to want to get away from that. It also probably goes back to Monster as well. If they had a good relationship, it makes sense Chad would be more willing to work out the financial side of it. Throw in not loving playing Lucas anymore. Who would after Brucas 2.0 and the Lucas/Lindsey crap, lol.

Sucks. No marriage would have equaled no Brucas 2.0. That in itself is frustrating in looking back. Brucas 2.0 was so hard on the eyes.
