I could never ship Brucas as a result, let alone "ship" a real life couple. Sorry, that's just weird to me.

But I could never ship a pairing that doesn't have factual evidence, potential to be a sustainable pairing. Brucas had no substance. Brooke manipulated and went dirty to even put Brucas together the first time. It's just not a good recipe at all. They were doomed from the start.

The Chad/Sophia experiment thinking the ratings would go up as a result tanked just like Brucas tanked too.

Brooke could never say that about Lucas, Peyton could never say that about Jake.

Only Peyton saying it about Lucas because Lucas/Peyton were spiritual as much as they were emotional, romantic. They had a spiritual component that was untouchable.

What is amazing about Peyton saying this in general? Peyton was trying so hard to hide her feelings. She was able to go there being around selfish Nathan and Brooke for years. But Lucas and Haley came into her life and she was instantly able to open up... not only is she falling for Lucas in this intense, real way... but she could easily open up to Haley about her feelings for Lucas. It was so beautiful. Before this time she was with the misery known as Nathan and Brooke who didn't press her to open up about anything because they were so selfish and didn't care about her like they should have. But Lucas and Haley literally allowed Peyton to come alive.

Jake knew it too. At least Jake wasn't clueless or manipulative, like Brooke was during certain parts of the Brucas and Brucas 2.0 disasters.
