You can tell that about your eyelashes.

This makes sense . My eyes are a bit sensitive as well and sometimes some make up products cause irritation and even inflammations. I had such just a month ago. So I have to be very picky and careful about the products I use on my eyes.

Thanks ! This is my every day look for work. I wouldn't be comfortable at work if I have too heavy eye shadow. However if I don't use make up my glasses make my eyes small and dull. And that's not good look either. I look like I am tired, sleepy and in a really bad mood .

She does . However unlike me she is about the red/brown type of lipstick. I prefer the bright coral/beige/peach lip-gloss. Basically I put more accent on my eyes than my lips while she puts more accent on her lips.

What about you?
Do your order your make up products or buy products at the store?

If you count Vaseline lip balm or Carmex then, sure, I use lip gloss.

To be honest I prefer to try them out because it seems like it depends on your own completion and skin type/color. For example certain eye shadows look different depending on the color of your eyelid skin. Not to mention the color of your eyes and hair. So I prefer to try them out. Also some eye shadows are quite hard to apply/blend.

. I assume you use lip balms without any colors?

Is there a certain brand you like to use?

That would be 100% correct.

I posted these on the OT2 thread, but it's been a while since I posted anything here, so here you go.

This is a picture of a picture, so it's kinda crappy.

And I got this right before I got that picture.

And of course, me and Camren Bicondova, aka Selina Kyle on Gotham

Nah. Unlike most women make up is not something that comes natural to me. I am actually so not good with this. I had to search for lots of tutorials to know how to do it . However the green shadow that I posted is of M.A.C. They have some good shadows, but they are also expensive.

In general I am very picky about eye shadows just like everything else. It has to be not too colorful, not too shimery, easy to apply and easy to blend. So I have to try them out before buying .

How often do you use it?

Makes sense. Do you put on lotion before you apply make up? Basically how do you go about things after you shower, lol. Do you apply something on your face before putting your make up on? What do you use to remove it at night? I'm always interested in this stuff because that's part of why I stopped using make up... I just got so sensitive with everything, the actual make up, whatever I used to remove it, etc.

Daily. Have to use some sort of lip therapy due to dryness. So I'm literally spraying a saline nasal spray for dry nasal passages, artificial tears, and lip moisturizers 24/7. It's fun, I look insane.

I have very weird skin . It's not completely dry because I do get the typical acne (in mild form) for oil skin. In the same time I also get the typical problems for dry skin. Basically my skin is very sensitive. There is shining in some places (because it has some oil) and other places basically are peeling off due to skin sensitivity.

Having this in mind I don't use lotion, but micellar water. It does two things - it can be used as toner/lotion and it can be used for makeup removal. I use it only for makeup removal. Otherwise my skin gets too dry. I use a mattifying cream for sensitive skin. And my foundation is also mattifying. All those three are of the same brand - which is for medical cosmetics. In other words basically my rule is that for the foundation and basically preparing my face for the make up I don't use products of make up brands, but products of medicine cosmetics brands. My brand is La Roche Posay - http://www.laroche-posay.co.uk/. Only their face cream works for my weird skin - hydrates my skin and yet it also leaves matte finish and thus reduce the shining.

After that I apply eye base on both of my lids (upper and down) because my upper lids are quite oily and the shadows are smudged in 3 hours unless I apply something. I use shadows that don't have too much fallout. Otherwise some particles might end up in my eyes and they are sensitive so no need about that . I use mascara and eye liner that are for sensitive eyes. And that's pretty much it.

My lips get very dry too . I forget to apply my lip gloss (even though I bring it with me) , but I have to in every two hours. Otherwise my lips are so dry that I start chewing them and they get really really sensitive.

Nice process!

We share something else, lol... my skin also gets both oily and dry. I've gone to numerous dermatologists over the years trying to figure out a way to treat this very complicated situation and even most dermatologists haven't it figured out yet. Being just oily or dry is the norm, not both. I should say my face and back have the oily and dry thing going on and the rest of my body is generally dry. But yes, if I put stuff on my face and back that can produce oil, I would develop red bumps all over from clogged pores. It's a mess. Coconut oil I use on skin rashes and scratches on my arms and legs but if I put coconut oil on my face, look out! I would break out severely.

I think that I came to a point where I would just use two different face creams. One mattifying for the oily parts of my face (basically my chin and forehead) and another one for my dry areas (which are cheeks, nose and the area around the eyes).

My body's skin is really dry. I can't use soap because I will get rash. I use medicine cosmetics shower gel for this and I always apply body lotions (for sensitive skin of course) after I have been subjected to water.

I do the same for the hands as well - I have hands cream in the office just because every time I wash my hands I need to apply it.

I basically can use dove soap and that's it. Dove will never bother me. For shampoo I use an all natural one, preservative free, etc.

I can't use any soap period. I always need to apply something afterwards. And by something I mean very hydrating body lotion. Like very.

For shampoo it has to be specific one for sensitive dry scalp skin.

My mother is the same way. We have very sensitive bodies.

I just bought today hydrating face cream and foundation fluid because the previous ones that I had don't work for me anymore. I guess my skin has gotten drier and they caused some peeling at certain places. Luckily my mother's skin is a bit more on the oily side so I will give my old ones to her. I don't want to throw them out because they are half full.

I also bought lip balm from this brand. It's not just lip balm, but balm for irritated skin. You basically apply it to a specific spot. It's like vaseline or something like that. Quite oily.

Makes sense. I pay more for dove but it never causes a problem. Have you ever tried but failed while using dove?

I use a hydrating lotion after showing too but it's so sensitive a baby could use it.

I've tried Dove. I'm OK with their shower gel and body lotion, but not their bar soap. I think that it's the way every brand makes bar soaps. It's general issue. I can't stand bar soaps. I tolerate better liquid soaps.

I used to have such as well. Now I can tolerate Dove's body lotion. It hydrates my skin pretty well and it has some small golden particles so it makes my skin glow. I love it and it's the only body lotion I use.

Today I am with the new face cream and foundation and so far it's better. However I need to buy some eye cream because I feel tightness there as well. I can't believe how much drier my skin has gotten for just few months. The last time I have used those mattifying products they were working fine.
