Plus, lots of people read without posting, I think. Especially in the summer.
I suppose you're right.

[SbtB/S.W.] I watched the intro to Saved by the Bell on YouTube. It was like it was just yesterday that I watched the show but it has been years. Yeah, Scott Wolf is one of those ageless souls. Heh.

Quote:
[CW "Everwood" thread/S.W. news] I've forgotten a lot about that place, sadly. I'll have to check in again, I miss our old WB board. We had a great community and now everyone's scattered and most boards are inactive as anything. Luckily this place stays active. I read that news when I was searching for Everwood news, actually, but I'm very glad to hear it. Although I'd rather see Tom Amandes signed to that kind of contract, but no chance of that I'm sure. Stupid Hollywood.
Tos, oh no! Yeah, the WB board was a great hangout. RIP, WB board. Yes, certainly stop by the CW thread, man.

If you hadn't noticed, Scott Wolf's latest TV credit listed on IMDb is "Making It Legal". Another legal show but a sitcom, from Jeff Judah, who was a supervising producer for "Freaks and Geeks", an executive producer for "Life As We Know It", a writer for both. Most recently, he was a writer for "What About Brian".
Gabe Sachs, an executive producer of the quite awful "October Road", serves as executive producer here as well.
I wonder if it will actually get picked up next year. Hmmm. . .
Yes. Having Tom Amandes back on the small screen would a be a godsend. He's an ace, for sure!
Quote:
Oh, I wish I had TNT for that TA episode, with Topher? Wow! It's kind of neat how often these Everwoodians who we all saw for pretty much for the first time actually have worked on the same show or movie, even if they played small parts and maybe never really acted together. I wonder if they ever recognized each other!

I did see Debra Mooney on Everybody Loves Raymond, but just caught the end of her role, but she was laughing away and it was something really different for her. She's a lot more passive on that show.
What's 'TA' mean?
It is a kick to gradually become familiar with their past performances and to connect so many dots.
Actually, I forgot to watch "ER" The Miracle Worker(#5.10)(1998) featuring Tom Amandes and Lukas Behnken. When I did realize it was on there was only five minutes left. It's a Christmas episode, btw. I wonder if Tom and Lukas play father and son...wow, that'd be sooo cool!!
Hmm..I think they probably didn't recognize each other at first but later came to realize they've worked together before. Hee.
Yes, it's really great seeing these shows and movies various cast members have co-starred together in before "Everwood". It is exciting!

Thanks for sharing that you caught a bit of Debra's performance on "Everybody Loves Raymond". I didn't watch it but I did, however, see her in "Roseanne".
I started watching one of the episodes halfway through to the end and I didn't see her in it which baffled me, but I knew she had to be in it somewhere.
So I continued watching the subsequent episodes in which she guest-starred, and it was when I looked and listened closely that I actually recognized her! It was seventeen years ago and twelve years before "Everwood" began so it makes sense she looked different. However, her voice and acting technique/tone was quite different, too, not that it's unexpected or odd. Maybe I shouldn't have been so surprised but I really was. Anyway, I did find her appearance and performance delightful and it was fun seeing her as an oblivious, flighty, pooch-toting hair salon-goer. It was something really different. Ohh, cool, Debra celebrates her 60th in about two weeks!

I was just checking out the "Heartland" forum at TNT's website and the show is mostly panned.
Check out this thread: You've got to be kidding... Wow. Aww, man.
Just doing some searching. . .
Oooh, March 2005 - Vivien Cardone interview from TheStarScoop which, like me, you might not have read. There's a great photo there as well.
They also have a January 2007 interview with Vivien. Her two latest movies are set for release around the same time next year--All Roads Lead Home on March 10, and Drillbit Taylor on March 21. The former's trailer is unavailable but the latter's is viewable on IMDb and YouTube, although it is appalling, imo.
And here's a great Tom Amandes interview which you might not have read.
Oh, btw, Tos, I apologize for not replying when I was on here before. OK?
Hey, you didn't say whether you've watched The Dark Is Rising trailers or not. . .

Thanks detritus. I finally stopped over at the CW boards again. It's kind of funny how we're all posting at different places these days. But it's really neat that we're all still talking about Everwood. I think this little show left an impact on us.

Sorry for not responding so long! I get forgetful. I read your response and totally meant to reply, but then forgot until today. I do that too often.

And I did watch the trailers for the Dark is Rising, and also reposted them on the Pinecone thread here recently. Great find. It looks really fun, although I wish Gregory Smith was in them a bit more! But hopefully he's in the movie for a good while.

You should post the Vivien Cardone interview in the Pinecone thread here. It's a good interview and great to hear from Vivien. I had never read it before. It's amazing to think of how much she's grown up. I still remember her as the little girl in A Beautiful Mind.

How sad is this: I think I’m gonna stop the TV shows. I don’t think my family can really handle it. It’s going to be too hard to move back and forth. I think I’m just going to hold off, because it takes to long, you grow a family and then you lose it all, you know? It’s really hard. Maybe when I get older. I think I’m sticking to movies for a while.

Aww, she misses Everwood and the cast. But she seems very well-adjusted and happy, which is so awesome to read about.

Hehe, I couldn't believe that an Everwoodian was in the High School Musical shows. Can you imagine Gregory Smith singing and dancing, or gosh, Tom Amandes?? It would be so much fun. But hopefully in something that..isn't High School Musical. Heh. Just not my thing.

I recently saw two Everwoodians in movies, although kind of flipping channels. But Philip Baker Hall on Rush Hour on TBS was playing a head of police or some such thing, but he was playing a fun role. And I saw Emily Vancamp for a scene or two in Lost in Delirious, which was playing on the Canadian Bravo today. Plays a snotty school girl, mainly, but it's one of her first roles and neat to see her in something when she's quite a bit younger than even first season Amy.

detritus , thank you so much for posting this info. It's priceless.

Wow those comments from Vivien are heartbreaking. She does miss the cast, that's so sad. I hope they keep in touch, you would automatically think that they do but for someone like Vivien, being so young when the show started and probably most of the cast being mother/father/sibling figures to her, it has to be so difficult for her. Awww

Hey Tos I have a question since I don't go anywhere else but this board to talk Everwood. You mentioned other places where people still post. Is there any other site that talks Everwood worth taking a look at?

Horray, it's Tos!! Nice to see ya again. You're very welcome, Tos and Wilpen.
Oh, that's GREAT that you stopped by the CW Everwood thread, Tos.
It's really nice to know that people still care. Well, I guess we couldn't ever really stop caring. Right? Yes. Heh.
Yeah, sure, man, everyone gets busy sometimes. All is forgiven.
Everwood did make an impact on us...isn't that obvious?? It's truly amazing.

Glad to hear you watched the The Dark Is Rising trailers. Though, they're calling it The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising now which is silly, imo. It sounds better the other way but it's not that important. Man, Gregory looks great!! And I love his voice. Plus, he's a tremendous actor which is what really matters in his line of work. Heh.
If you don't prefer YouTube, MovieWeb has the trailers, which is what I should have posted in the first place because it's...better, with no fishing around.
Well, when putting it all together--like, the inclusion of two bits of his performance in the trailer and knowing he is an established actor--one is led to believe he has a sizeable role in the film. He's probably in one-third of the movie AT LEAST.

It was a great read...that Vivien interview. Good to know you both read it.
She is growing up beautifully. (I still need to see A Beautiful Mind. Geesh. I haven't seen it.)

Yeah, it must be tough on a young child--anyone, really--to be together so much of the time then barely at all. I know, the part of Vivien's interview you posted, Tos, was so well-spoken and from the heart. I can understand that, I mean, I would feel the same way if I was her age.
And even for an older actor, I think one would be hesitant and apprehensive about joining other TV shows for those very reasons. On the other hand, some love the challenge, or it's not always such an ordeal, like, if everything fits together seamlessly then it's a given. Maybe that's the case for Stephanie Niznik, everything coming at the right time where it's not some huge sacrifice.
Anyway, I wish Stephanie and her show "Life is Wild" the very best. I hope people really like it and it lasts awhile.
It premieres Sunday, October 7 at 9/8c, I believe. I hate the CW and all it stands for but I will watch this show because she's been cast and that is a sign of quality, so, we'll see how it goes.
I do think most of the cast stays in touch and the moments they are together are undoubtedly special and mean so much more now, especially to young Vivien. I think you're right, about her appearing well-adjusted. It sounds like she has a good, normal family life. I hope so anyway. I think she's a fabulous actress and person, so she'll do well for herself.

So, did you have the chance to read the Tom Amandes interview, Tos? (Or anyone else visiting this thread...Wilpen?) It was SO much fun to read!

Actually, I corrected the listing for HSM. Earlier on I only listed Ryne Sanborn as Jason Cross because I forgot that Olesya Rulin was also in Everwood and she has a significant part as Kelsi Nielson in both HSM and HSM 2. Maybe you didn't know they were filmed in Utah? Heh. Well, here's a recent Salt Lake Tribune article which highlights three young Utahn actors' successful turn in the High School Musical phenom. Those three would be the aforementioned two, plus KayCee Stroh.

Tom Amandes could pull it off. It'd be so entertaining if Debra Mooney was in a musical, yeah! The two of them together. Throw in Treat as well. But there would need to be more of an antipode. That's where Dr. Trott would come in, a huge adversary of Harold's, more so than Dr. Brown or his mother. Hee Hee Hee. Oh, yes. Then there'd be Jake as a nemesis of Andy's. And so much more! Oh, just thinking of the top of my head here. Anyway, anything they do would be clearly incomparable, distinct and well-conceived.

So, Tos you haven't seen HSM? Last year I was like, " Hmm, what's this?," and so I watched it. I thought it was a cute, well-acted, overall solid movie. It's better than the second, in my opinion, which is funny to me since there's been an extreme amount of buzz about the second, with all the cast saying they really had to step up their efforts to surpass what was accomplished with the first. That didn't happen, imo. I mean, they probably worked hard(who doesn't, for a paycheck?) but unfortunately it was done in vain, viewership of 17 mil. notwithstanding. I won't elaborate because it's not that important to me.

Oh, you mean, Lost & Delirious, Tos. Yeah, I saw a bit of that awhile back. It was pretty good from what I saw. Emily was awesome!! Duh. I hope it'll be shown here sometime not too far from now, and Nora's movie Brick as well. Oooh.
Well, I'm glad you had that opportunity.

Wilpen, (yes, I'm answering for Tos, hee) you might want to try: Television Without Pity - Everwood
I found out about TWOP from regulars like Shadow, Tos and a few others from the old WB board. Props to them.
Ugh, geez. I just read on TWOP's home page that Ryan Seacrest is hosting this year's Emmy Awards!! God, noooooo!!! Please have mercy! I am going to cry. That's a degradation of tremendous proportions. Truly. I'm sorry if I seem a little crazed but that dude irks me so much!
Uh, man. Alright, on to more pleasant things. . .

I definitely second the TWOP Everwood thread recommendation. There has been some really great discussions going on this summer there and, while it's not anywhere near as active as this board (nowhere is), it does get posted on every few days and there's often some news about the cast or just discussions about the show going on. And a poster is doing a recap of the fourth season which is really well-done. Definitely give it a look when you have the time. Michelle . I rarely post, this board is my Everwood home, but it's a good read.

I was watching Seinfeld a couple of hours ago, and who would pop on but Tim DeKay (who played Reverend Keyes on Everwood). He plays Kevin, pretty much the Bizarro Jerry, for two episodes. He was really funny in this, and he's always good in everything I see.

By the way, he'll also be in the HBO series, "Tell Me You Love Me", which is getting huge buzz for showing extremely graphic sexual scenes and nudity. Like, extremely graphic. Reverend Keyes, getting it on. Heh.

Quote:

I certainly hope so. He seems like he'll be in a good chunk of the first part, the part where the main kid is living a normal life and Greg gets to be the bully. And then he looks like he'll also be a good part of the mystery/action element of it too, which is really cool. It's not like he'll disappear once the mythology starts and it means he'll get to do more than just play the same bully of a brother for the whole movie.

Totally agreed on Vivien and how well-spoken and from the heart she is. I think she's always been like that, which is so great. I remember watching Debra Mooney read the letter that Vivien wrote for the Ferris Wheel event on YouTube and how heartfelt and emotional it was. I'm sure she keeps in touch with some of the Everwoodians, anyway, I remember hearing how much Treat and her got along and how close they were, so I hope that keeps up, for sure.

And I'll be checking out Life is Wild, too. Only for Stephanie Niznik, though. I'll at least give it an episode, but I hear very bad things about it. Still, cute animals and Stephanie Niznik can't be alllll bad, can it?

And I had read that Tom Amandes interview, I loved it. Vivien also has an interview on that site from when she was just starting the show which is really adorable.

Hee! That's awesome. I always secretely wish there could have been a musical. Treat's definitely got experience singing, have you ever seen him in Hair? I'm sure Tom does too. And Debra would be hilarious, her snark and voice in song. Oh, it would be so much fun. Maybe the fifth season could have had a musical! Probably not, but I can still dream.

And totally agreed on Ryan Seacrest, detritus! I couldn't believe that news. I will still watch because there's at least one show in every category (at least I think so) that I watch and enjoy, and Sally Field is up for something, so I HAVE to watch, but it's going to be a tortuous three hours!

Oh, and thanks for the info again.

Hey, Tos!
I registered with TWOP last year and posted a few times but I haven't been there in awhile(Friday being the exception). Yeah, it's a really great place!
It's really thrilling-- all these people who are enraptured by the show and incited by catharsis...and how it is sustenance for the soul, for life...and is everlasting, a sure reminder of all the elementally good things in this world, as it remains.
Speaking of which. . .

Ahh, Tim DeKay! I him. He's awesome! That's great, Tos, that you saw him in "Seinfeld". I'm glad you mentioned him because he's one I've been neglecting to look up, which of course is just not right. Nope. So, thanks!
Oh, I remember that I saw him a few weeks ago as I randomly watched an episode of "Malcolm in the Middle". He's ALWAYS entertaining.
"Tell Me You Love Me", yeah, that's going to be one heck of a show, or not. It's definitely different and I read what the producers have said, so it's worth a look.

Yeah, I wouldn't be tuning in if Stephanie wasn't cast--unless I happened to just for the heck of it, but that'd be improbable since there's a lot more shows I plan to watch. Anyway, so, yeah, looking forward to the show now.
I haven't really sought out what the reception of the show has been like. I know the basic plotline and that Stephanie is in it so I will not concern myself with that, but I don't mind knowing(so thanks).

Good that you read the Tom Amandes interview, Tos. Pretty cool stuff. I did read the Vivien interview on that website. It was great, too.

Right. It's calming that we're in agreement on that. Nod to your last eight words there. I don't know when was the last time I watched the Emmy Awards. I watched some of last year's Golden Globes and the entire broadcast of the Academy Awards. But nothing will make me watch the Emmys when he is hosting. No, no.

You're welcome, Tos.
Good to hear from you again.
It's going to be one heck of a week!!! Hee. You'll see.
Hey, do you know about Sarah Drew's new project? Find it here.
What about Michael Flynn(aka 'James Hart')'s latest? Get the info!
I never notice any talk about Kristen Bell on here(probably because she had only a small guest spot) but, here, read about her most recent gig anyway.
