That's the beauty of Everwood... events that transpire in season 4 relate back to season 1. When you break it down the story is the strength of this series... everything is connected and intertwined because from day 1 Berlanti had something to say, a story to tell, and he did not slack off or back down for one minute. Everything about this remarkable series was solid from start to finish. There were zero holes or weaknesses. It's so rare to have that take place but we witnessed just that for four years.

I think you'll see some complications on that storyline that will show why that will be tough. But I do very much think he'll meet his son someday. It just seems like something Ephram would make sure he would do, to have some sort of relationship at least.

I think it would be the other way around for me, personally. But I would hope he doesn't do it for a very long time after S4. Like...S10 or something, heh. Even that is too early for me, probably. For some reason, I can only picture it happening when the kid is old enough to really understand everything that's going on and him and Ephram can bond in kind of an adult way. Just how I picture it, though.

ETA: And Patricia, I hope you never let that feeling of being behind stop you from talking about the show, because you really do get so much right now. It's amazing. It's exciting to know that you're going to get even more once you actually get to see more. But that you know so much already from one season, some clips, and the series finale, that's pretty cool.

i can't wait. i had already seen so much of season 1 when I got the DVD set so it took me like 4 episodes to finish. this will take forever....but forever got a lot shorter since i don't have to wait a week for a new DVD

Yes, S2 will be a whole new experience for you. I think you know some of the ending, some of the major stories at the end, but there's a lot before that that you'll get to experience for the very first time and it'll be brand new for you. *so jealous*
