it's like both ways going here.
i'm jealous that all you all have seen the episodes and talk so much about the show but you're jealous that i get to experience it first hand. |
I think that we're jealous also because most of us never got to discuss the show when we first watched it. We all came together (most of us) after the show aired, or after S3. You get to discuss it from the beginning. :D

I didn't know that. I know this board was created before One Tree Hill and that came to :ff: in 2004. So I assumed it was created in the second or maybe first season. But, wow, I guess I do have the better opportunity.
|
Oh, the board's been around since the Pilot, but the current posting group didn't seem to come together here until a few years ago.
|
I believe that Michelle, Alan, Gaby are part of the original group..I think!
|
Not Michelle, I'm pretty sure. But I mean that the most active posters here -- and the current mods -- didn't assemble until more recently.

ah okay. I wonder where the original posters went?

Oh, many just lose interest in the show, or just don't find enough to talk about with it. And many left long before even we came around and invaded and took it over, hee.
|
"invaded and took over"
good way to put it. :) I'm just glad I got the group that I did |
I like to think it was a violent coup. ;) Hee, no, from what I know of the older group, they were very special too. But I'm glad you found the group you did too. It would have been great to talk about the show while it was still airing, but at least now you don't have to wait a whole week to watch an episode (once you get the other DVDs) or a whole summer, or a whole three months of hiatus and all that. You can watch at your own pace. :)
|
I wouldn't have been able to watch it when it was on anyway. I didn't have the actual WB. I had an affiliate through NBC at like 2:30am and I didn't even know iif Everwood was even airing. They would pick and choose which shows NBC would air. And it was only five episodes a week, so I don't know if I would've been able to watch Everwood anyway
|
Eesh, doesn't sound like it. That's a yucky situation, heh. So, nevermind hiatuses or scheduling, you'd have to worry about getting to watch it at all.
See, you've picked a much better time to get into the show. :) |
with One Tree Hill in SEason 3, it was the olympics. So at night when I would get to watch the show, I wouldn't because they'd take everything off and put on the REPEATS of the olympics.
So if the scenes didn't at least one of the main core 5, I didn't see it. So the DVD had quite a few unaired scenes and it was nice to get much needed information. Enough about that. Sometimes, finding a show after it airs or after the excitement (or drama) dies down, you get to the real fans who just love the show for what it is and not for a certain actor/actress (why I choose to not post at the OTH boards for the time being, if ever again). It's just nice to find that sanctuary and just be...real |

Hee, no, I really agree with that. There was a great community here and elsewhere while the show was airing, but it is interesting that this community, in particular, has probably thrived (thriven? nope, don't think so) more after the show ended than when it aired. And I think it's for the very reason you brought up. Only the fans who love the show for what it is are going to really stick around and talk about it years later kind of thing. |
