I really need to upload my pics. I can't use Photobucket anymore because you have to pay to use them as a third party display, so I guess I'll use Google photos.

I have the same problem with Photobucket. I have lost all of the pictures I posted on this board.

Yeah, we will see. You never know. The funny part was that when they offered me the leading position and I agreed, the guy that I can't stand was trying to tell me that I am not good in this diplomatic game and talking. And this was like "Right back in your face". And it did not come from me, it came from people that are above him . So funny. In reality I could be quite not diplomatic (when I know that I can allow it) and I can play so nice and diplomatic when I want to. And this is what he misses completely. I know that I don't need to be diplomatic with him because I have my boss in Germany who talked me up enough to the German CTO. So if it comes to real conflicts, my German boss stands behind me. And he is closer with the German CTO than my Bulgarian bosses. I know how to play the game. And that is something he completely misses. Both him and my direct boss. My former boss however knew this really well actually. So he had different strategy with me. Instead of pissing me off and making me use this against him, he would be on my good side and use this to his advantage (read team's advantage). And to explain what I mean by my German boss. He is the project manager of the project I am responsible for. He is the guy that talked about me to the previous CEO so that I can get approval to go to Germany. He is the guy that talked to the German CTO about me so that I could get leading position. I have his support. And I know how to use it.

That's awesome.

The guy you hate sounds like such a tool. It has to be eating him alive knowing your position and how all the higher ups give you these responsibilities. How do the higher ups feel about him?

Our company is German. So when Amadeus bought the company, they also bought the people in the German office basically which includes the Executive office there. And the German CTO knows how to play the game as well because apparently they do not act like they could say whatever they want and we should follow them. It's really funny. They are the bigger company and in practice you expect them to lead, but it does not work this way. No idea what's going on, but the truth is that for some reason the French guys do not feel superior enough to us to order us around. The fact that they had to write an apologetic email proves it. Obviously they realized that they won't get what they want in this way. No idea why they see it this way, but for now it does not seem that they own us and could tell us what to do.

Interesting. At least they sent the apologetic email, although of course they could never apologize any other way. The arrogance doesn't allow it. lol

I got a good night's sleep Friday night but I'm back to insomnia again. Going on 2 AM and not remotely ready to try and sleep.
