Episode Discussion #320: "He Who Hesitates"
From theWB:
Ephram (Gregory Smith) makes a bold move -- and breaks his father's heart in the process -- in an attempt to raise money for a plane ticket to Europe. Meanwhile, Nina (Stephanie Niznik) can't quite put her finger on why Andy (Treat Williams) has been acting strangely of late, whereas a more perceptive Delia (Vivien Cardone) comes right out and asks her father whether he has feelings for Nina, and Bright's (Chris Pratt) green-eyed monster makes an unexpected appearance when Hannah (Sarah Drew) goes to prom with Topher (guest star Lukas Behnken). Emily VanCamp, Merrilyn Gann, Scott Wolf and Tom Amandes also star. Elisa Delson wrote the episode directed by Keith Samples. |
Man I like to see Bright's reaction to Hannah going to the prom with Topher. Finally, some jealously out of Bright over Hannah. This ought to be cute!
|
I can't wait to see the green-eyed monster! And it will be really green for me as my TV is messed up so there's always this greenish tint. It's either that or watching it in my room on the black-n-white TV.

Idiot!Ephram seems to be in permanent residence for the time being...much to my dismay.

Yeah, it's more than obvious that Ephram's spiralling.. Actually, I see the parallel between season 2 Amy and Ephram right now. Whenever Amy mourned the death of Colin, there wasn't anything, anyone could do to help her. She pulled away from everyone. Ephram's doing the same right now. He's actually dealing with a "death" in his own way, with his baby boy.. And to compound matters, he's dealing with the betrayals that Andy/Madison created.. So, for as much as I hate to see Ephram acting this way, I do understand where he's coming from to a certain degree. I just wish he wouldn't shut Amy out like this.. Then again, Amy pretty much did the same to him in season 2 whenever she recognized that she wasn't in any state to give it a go with him.. The parallels really are startling I think.

i heard something on the radio about it and it was dr. abbott and his wife talking.... she was crying and he asked if they should tell the kids! what do y'all think!
|
Yeah, that's not really a spoiler anymore.. We found out in the past episode that Rose has a tumor and they must be discussing how and when to tell Amy/Bright about it. Oh boy, here we go again with intense drama. It's bad enough to see Ephram so lost right now, and now, Rose's illness. Poor Amy and Bright. How in the world is Amy going to handle this? Her mother's ill and Ephram is distancing himself from her. I hope she doesn't sink back into a deep depression.

I get the feeling Ephram is going to be whiny tonight. That should be something we haven't seen from him before. :smirk:
