I seriously don't know what the higher ups were thinking considering him for the job. He had culture clashes and egomanic tendencies coaching in GERMANY and he's German! What did everyone expect he would do here in the US coaching our Nat Team? Hello, the writing was on the wall. At least that German team canned him very early on when they realized what he was doing. Look at how stupid our higher ups look allowing him to stay for as long as he did. He almost killed the entire program. Thank God he's gone and if that German team hires him the team will go downhill fast.

Minnesota Gophers college basketball

It has been forever since they have been to the big dance. This team is deep. However, that said, last night their shooting guard (2) is out for the rest of the season with an Achilles injury. This sucks! I've said it before and I'll continue to say it... the key in college basketball is guard play. If you have a strong 1 and 2 you are good to go. This is a devastating loss for the Gophers. Such bad luck.
