Thst sucks so much, I’m sorry.

Do you plan on eventually moving back to Germany or are you content overall in the UK?

No roommate, I'm all by my lonesome. (Fortunately, though! I'd absolutely hate having a roommate.) I do have my two bunnies, who provide limited company unless I'm willing to sit on the floor with them (which, it seems, I'm getting too old for...). I also have fish and frogs, but those don't really help fulfil any of my social needs at all. Very unsociable creatures.
Awe, such cute pets though. Have you thought about getting a dog or cat?

I agree about a roommate. Unless it’s family or someone else close, I couldn’t go there either.

I know... the point to freedom isn't necessarily using it, it's simply having it. It sucks that you're separated from your nieces like that!
Thanks and exactly right.

Heh! I don't think there's anything wrong with sticking to your masks if you like them. It's good for yourself and those around you, especially if you don't feel restricted in your breathing. (I do - so no masks for me when this is over. My lungs don't cope well with hot air at all.) I'd just refrain from walking into a bank like that when you're the only masked person left in town.
That has to be really tough. My one niece has asthma and has to use extra puffs from her inhaler when she’s using a mask a lot. She also plays college soccer and they sometimes wear masks working which can be challenging but she gets through it okay.

When my OCD was at its worst, I went about 4 years without ever getting a cold, flu, or anything else (which is saying a hell of a lot for me, as I was incredibly sickly and had severe respiratory infections including pneumonia every winter prior to developing OCD), so from that experience I would think that it's enough to keep your hands clean and never touch your face when you're out and about... it doesn't necessarily take a mask for common cold and flu viruses.
Well, that was one plus to having OCD, haha. And you’re absolutely right. My sister is a scientist and constantly hits home the fact that simply not touching your hands to your face and faithfully washing your hands will help the spread of all viruses and bacteria.

I feel your pain, Leo. It's so tough being away from family.
You remember that my daughter lives in the Netherlands. Well...she had her first baby 10 months ago and I have only spent 2 weeks with her when my daughter and her family came to the states during Christmas. And...that was kind of a miracle! They made it happen even with the danger, because my daughter needed to share her baby with her familyl
I face time with them everyday, but I am missing so much time physical with this baby and it's really heartbreaking.

We spent nearly two weeks in freezing cold temps (waaaaaaayyyyyy below zero F) and now we’re averaging 20/30 F which feels warm to me/Minnesotans in general.

Here is Teresa's latest masterwork: an ocean themed afghan that she made for her brother John complete with a sandy seashore, waves, and the deep blue sea!

That is remarkable! Your wife is so talented, Jerry! If this was for sale at a store, people would grab them for purchase. Look at the details and gorgeous color combination. I love it. She’s incredibly talented and so sweet of her to make this for her brother. How long did this one take her?

Thanks! It took her about two weeks to make this one.
