Awe that’s too bad. Anyone else in your family get them like your sisters?

It's been good lately thanks. Your advice to take over the counter Nexium really helped, so thank you.
Wonderful!

Unfortunately I have to work. The customer came back with more questions and I have to revise my bid and send it out Monday. I'd rather do it over the weekend in peace and quiet then try to rush it out from the office on Monday.

Teresa called me at lunch on our home phone and she said "Are you still home?" and I answered "Well I must be if I answered the phone!" LOL! She laughed!

Her boss told her that she's been more productive than their Number One person, which really made her happy. Even if this job doesn't turn into something permanent, it's really boosted her confidence.
I’m sorry you have to work but I get why you rather get it done before getting back to the office.

LOL Cute exchange between you and your wife.

That’s great news about Teresa’s boss adoring her work! Wow I wonder if he’s considering long term if he can swing it. Think about it... you don’t make comments like that and not try to find a way to keep such a terrific person who is greatly helping. Teresa is more productive than their number one person? That speaks volumes. Fingers crossed it turns into long term! Even if it doesn’t, the confidence boost is priceless and Teresa could even use her boss as a reference for another job in the future who, no doubt, would give her a glowing recommendation.

You might be right on. The weather has been really awful with the barometric pressure. I know not sleeping one full night (and waiting until the next night to sleep again) played a part but I think the weather ties into it too. My sinuses feel pressure as well. Good news is the migraine seems to be lifting. My eyes don’t hurt as much anymore.

Do you get headaches?

No, they never have. It was just my mother. My father never got them.

This is the kind of guy my boss is: We had to go on a conference call to get some things clarified with the customer. At the end of the conversation I said "Okay thanks. I'll work on this over the weekend and I should have something to you on Monday." After we hung up with the customer, my boss said "What are you trying to do, kiss the customer's ass?" Unbelievable.

Thanks so much! Her boss is a woman, and she seems to really like Teresa and one of her co-workers said "They really need to hire you permanently!"

Interesting. They are really genetic. I bet on your moms side for extended family some others got/get them. Good that you don't get them!

Do you get it at a pretty cheap price?

Was he serious or joking when he said that to you? So rude and uncalled for if he was serious. Shouldn't he be happy that you are so nice and flexible with a customer? What a dick.

Awe, see there's no way they're not going to try and get her a long-term position. I can just feel it. When you have her boss and even co-workers saying as much, they will do everything they possibly can to get her a long-term position. I will say prayers that it happens!

My mother was an only child, so I don't know all that much about her family history.

Yes, the price is reasonable I feel.

He was half-joking, but part of it was serious I feel. He really is a dick.

Thanks! We're both cautiously optimistic, but we don't want to get our hopes up too much as we've both been disappointed before. I really appreciate your prayers.

I’m sure you’re right... it was definitely half serious. What a creep.

Your relationship with Teresa is so sweet. You’re the real life version of Ephram/Amy.

Betty, I read this and thought of you:

Slow-moving nor'easter kills 5, knocks out power in several states

Are you guys okay?

Yes, I hope that you're okay Betty. I have family and a lot of friends in the Northeast, including you, so I hope that you're all okay.

Buddy was dropped off at the groomers a little before 8 and I already miss him. My dad and brother-in-law (they are together in town) are picking him up in 10 minutes (9:30) and I can't wait until he gets home. I am going to give him a couple slices of a pear the second his little paws enter the kitchen.

Yes! We're okay! My area dodged a bullet. Wind is still blowing pretty hard, but no snow accumulation here and I do have power. But..several areas of my state got tons of snow and downed trees and power lines. They are concerned about high tide at the shore areas and possible flooding.
Thanks for asking, Michelle!! And thanks, Jerry!!

So happy to hear everyone is safe! Yes, I saw the pictures of the bad areas... wow! How long is it going to last? Are you able to go out and about today or still have to stay in?

I am! Except for the wind which will continue until later today...the sun is out and the roads are clean.

They played defensively the entire game last night. France looks pathetic. I don't know what happened to them. They are awful. England looked like they were playing against a bad high school team. It wasn't a fluke either because Germany beat them up in November. England has gotten quite good.
So it seems that out of the 4 your team is the best. Which team do you think you will play against in the final - Germany or England? Which team do you like more? Germany or England.

3 minutes driving. The groomer is extremely busy, especially on Saturdays. I set it up deliberately at 8 AM. Buddy is not so energetic and somewhat tired in the morning so he'll be more relaxed at the groomer. If he went there at noon or 2/3 he'd feel the experience much more.
Ah I see. Makes sense .
