Somehow I figured you'd say this. What time do you typically go to sleep during the week and on weekends?

It's around $100.00.
Oh that's not bad at all, especially for such a specialized shoe.

It was a 2009 Ford Fusion and it had 130,000 miles on it but it still ran great and it still looked good. I had wanted to keep it until next year, when it would have been 10 years old (it was a 2009, but I bought it in 2008). I was able to custom order what I wanted from the factory (through a car dealership) but with my new car I had to take what was on the lot because I needed a car right away since I didn't have one.

Teresa has a 2015 Ford Fiesta.
Got it. You got lucky taking what was on the lot because it's a beauty!

I love Ford Fiestas!

Detroit is home of Ford. My uncle, like my father, is an electrical engineer. Come to think of it, we have many electrical and mechanical engineers on both sides of the family, lol.

Anyway, my aunt, uncle, three cousins moved from Cleveland to a suburb of Detroit and my uncle worked for Ford. We always got a major discount as a result. I remember the first car I purchased was a brand new Ford Thunderbird. I paid 50% off the regular price all thanks to my Uncle Charles. I love Ford! I have a Ford truck as well.

Thanks Koni! I also wanted to thank you for all the advice you gave me when I was looking for a new computer. I really love my new computer and it's so fast and performs so well. I'm especially amazed at how fast it boots up. It takes seconds versus minutes with my old computer. I still prefer Windows 7 to Windows 10, but I've gotten used to Windows 10 now. We still have Windows 7 at work.
I am so scared to try Windows 10. I still haven't gone there yet, lol. I have a brand new laptop sitting on my desk I purchased six months ago and still haven't opened it up. I have two other computers and honestly the Windows 10 is why I am delaying for as long as possible.

What are the main differences between Windows 7 and Windows 10?

Usually about 10:00 PM or so during the week, and a little later on the weekends.

I really like walking with these shoes, so they're worth the money to me. You can order them on Amazon, which is cheaper than ordering from the Altra Website.

Wow! That's so awesome Michelle! What year Thunderbird did you have? I had a 1986 Ford Thunderbird and a 1997 Ford Thunderbird, both of which I purchased brand-new. The 1997 Ford Thunderbird was my favorite car of all time. I loved it, I loved the style, I loved the color (it was this beautiful dark green color) and I loved everything about it. I would have bought another one, but they weren't making the Thunderbirds any more when I bought a new car in 2008, so I bought the Ford Fusion. My 1997 Ford Thunderbird was the last of that style of Thunderbird. They discontinued the line after 1997, and they brought it back as a two-seater a few years later (in 2001) but it was way overpriced ($45,000.00 for a Ford!) and it didn't sell well, and it was discontinued again in 2005. Those Retro-looking two-seater Thunderbirds really did look nice though, but they were out of reach for me financially.

The main difference is the Interface: It's more like a tablet Interface than a Desktop/Laptop Interface. I was able to modify it so it's more like a Windows 7 Interface, (I created icons to put on my screen that are just like the Windows 7 Icons) and since I did that I've been fine with it.

At least you usually get some good sleep but too bad you couldn't find a way to sleep in a little in the morning on weekends. Does Teresa like to sleep in on weekends? Does your dog try to wake you up in the AM? Oh Buddy tries waking me up. LOL He eats early so if I'm not up he'll sit in front of me and eventually I'll feel his presence. If he can't get my attention by sitting there, he'll start to very softly growl in a cute way... he doesn't want to flat out bark to scare me so he'll do enough with his voice to get my attention, lol. He's hungry, it's partially about that but he also wants to go outside too.

Amazon is where I order my other shoes. I will look up the brand!

I love the color Silver. I like Ford Escorts too. We've had different Fords in our family thanks to my uncle. My sister had an Escort in the past.

Yes, Fords have gotten really expensive. I guess they can go there because the history is solid. Neat that we share the love for Thunderbirds. I purchased a brand new all black 1996 Ford Thunderbird. I was in high school. I was admired for my new car by many, haha. Even the guy friends were impressed. It just looked smashing, you know? I planned on getting the car for a couple of years. Every ounce of money I received from holidays/birthdays/confirmation went into an account for my future car purchase. Everyone in my family knew I was saving up too so most of the time I received money from family for gifts. I started saving when I was 14/15. My parents matched (though I think they paid more than matched ) what I had saved up and that, along with my uncle's discount allowed me to purchase a brand new 1996 Ford Thunderbird. I loved that car so much. My guy friend would joke I treated it like it was Christine, from the Stephen King book/movie.

Thanks. That is what I'll have to do as well. I would be happy if Windows 7 existed forever.

Sometimes I'll sleep a little later on the weekends, but not by much. Teresa loves to sleep in on the weekends. Goldie doesn't try to get us up early and she gets up when we get up. She loves to sleep! Sometimes she'll sleep on our bed, sometimes she'll sleep under our bed, and sometimes she'll sleep in her own bed.

When I tried to order the same model shoe yesterday I found out it's been discontinued, so I called up Altra and I found out what model replaced it and it's called Altra Provision 3.0. On the Altra Website, it was $120.00, but it was $89.96 on Amazon.

My new Ford Fusion was actually pretty reasonable, as I got the base Model. That's so awesome that you saved up and bought a brand-new beautiful Ford Thunderbird in High School, and that was so nice of your parents to match what you put down for it. I'll bet it was gorgeous! I'm the same way with my cars, especially when they're new. I'm always washing them and waxing them and cleaning the interior. My friend at work used to tell me that I had the shiniest car in the parking lot!

I wish that it would too. I don't think that we'll be switching to Windows 10 at work anytime soon, and that makes me happy.

I'm with Teresa... I like to try and sleep in on the weekends but usually I don't end up going there. Sometimes though I get lucky and sleep a little later. I think Buddy trying to rule when he eats and goes outside is based on his immaturity still. He's out of the highly energetic stage but still has way too much energy, lol. I am sure while he can hold it for 8 hours now, he probably is reminded much more quickly than a full grown adult dog that he should go soon. Buddy is the same way, lol. It's always a mystery where he ends up sleeping... sometimes it's in bed with me, other times it's in his own dogbed on the floor, sometimes it's the actual floor, and many times it's all of the above as he moves around throughout the night to keep things interesting.

People definitely notice. It drives me crazy checking out cars that are made of filth... sometimes people have mazes throughout their entire car as you can hardly get to the seats! I have no idea how anyone can live like that... both the interior and exterior of the car. Some people even have dirty plates in their cars that they haven't taken out yet. Think about how many hours we spend in our cars. Keeping them clean should go without saying.

Teresa had a tough time getting up early for her temporary job the first few days, but now she's used to it. This week it's the opposite of our normal routine as I'm the one staying home and she's the one going to work!

Like Betty I didn't have a choice but to get Windows 10 when I bought our new computers this year.

On another topic, I've had T-Mobile as my cell phone carrier for years, and I pay $108.00 a month for their service for my phone and Teresa's phone. I found out about a new plan that they have now for people over 55 where you get two lines with unlimited phone calls, texts, and data for $60.00 a month including tax so I signed up tonight. For once, I'm glad that I'm over 55!

I'll bet that other carriers will be offering similar plans soon so they don't lose business.

Me too. I purchased a new laptop a little over six months ago. It is sitting on the desk unopened in front of me. I refuse to open it up, let alone start using it until this old completely collapses in order to avoid Windows 10.

We studied color meanings in one of my courses in college... Silver represents grace, sophistication, elegance. It is a precious metal after all like gold. When you look at Silver, you feel positive as a result.

I don't get it either. My 17 year old niece has had her own car for almost a year now. She cares for it like a responsible adult. She's so cute, she literally looks in the newspaper ads for discounts from this specialized car wash we have about 5 miles away from us. She will use her own money and take the car there about once a month for a thorough wash both inside and out. In general, she makes sure it stays clean and never leaves things inside her car, it's immaculate.

What plan is this? Is it still with T-Mobile? I have Verizon too, like Betty. I am too young but maybe my dad could get it. My dad is a big believer in Verizon though. I couldn't care less about which one to use. I only care about the expense, lol. That's awesome!

She likes it a lot and she says the people are really nice. What's also nice is the company that she's working for is near where I work so we'll be able to meet for lunch some of the days next week.

That's so awesome that she's so responsible at such a young age and that she takes pride in her car. Your sister and her husband and you and your family have raised both of your nieces so well.

It's still with T-Mobile. It's called T-Mobile ONE Unlimited 55+. Here's a link to information about it: https://www.t-mobile.com/offers/t-mo...9571725527,s:g

I've had T-Mobile for years and I've been very satisfied with their service, and I thought that what I was paying for our two phones was reasonable (we have unlimited talk, text and data on our current plan) but this will be even better.

To be honest though, I'd rather get on the Internet using my computer, both here at home and at work, than through my cell phone. I don't use many apps on my cell phone and I don't even call people or text people that much, so the phone I have (a Samsung Galaxy S7) is overkill for what I use it for.
