What do you want to buy while shopping? Sounds like a good way to spend the weekend. Today I am trying to not do anything heavy so that I have saved energy for tomorrow. I hate flying. And I especially hate it with every hour spent on the airport. So having two flights and wait time on the airport between them is not my idea of fun. Quite the opposite.

Since we can't fly anywhere due to the uncertainty of Teresa's job situation, because we wouldn't be able to book a flight on short notice, we'd go to Canyon Lake, which is near New Braunfels, Texas. The lake is beautiful, we can walk the Canyon Dam, and there are some really nice restaurants in the area and there's a bakery in New Braunfels that has some of the best baked goods that I've ever seen here in Texas.

I usually get Tortellini, and Teresa usually gets Eggplant.

I'm so sorry to hear about your headache and the headaches that you get so often Michelle. That must be awful! I hope that you feel better soon.

I hope that you get to enjoy your nieces' game without serious pain!

Maybe you should see a doctor for this though. They might have some ideas how to relieve this at least a little bit.
We just got back from Sam's Club... it's a store that sells things in bulk. Sometimes you find great deals. I purchased a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. The meat there is a great price too. I got some really good gourmet coffee, too.

Going to the store actually helped my head, maybe it was the movement and sort of getting out. It's super humid so it's possible my sinuses opened up some, I have no idea but that dull ache is even slightly better now.

I just don't know what the specialist could do besides give me medicine when the attacks occur. I know it's not a tumor or anything major because I've had cat scans/mri's before for migraine stuff. So it's not that. He'll probably confirm a neuritis type of pain like occipital neuralgia then have medications to choose from. I hate taking meds past Advil and Tylenol. I don't even take anything for migraines really and was offered a bunch of migraine meds. You're right though, the specialist could offer suggestions that I've probably never heard of. Maybe there's even some sort of physical therapy that precisely helps this. When I go for my neck and back I will mention the headaches and see what the new spine specialist says and then go from there.

Thanks! It's perfect timing... just putting away the things from Sam's and leaving shortly for the game!

Awe that sucks. The travel will make you fatigued for sure. Too bad it's not a direct flight. Do you have your own hotel room or are you sharing with a co-worker?

Fruits, veggies, meat, stuff like that I bought.

Oh sorry, I got totally screwed up and thought you were leaving today. That's why I prematurely told you to have a nice flight.

That sucks about two flights. Back in the day I loved to fly but now I hate it. I just keep reminding myself that it's the safest form of travel and then deep breathing exercises if I get annoyed in the plane, lol. How long is the first flight then how long do you have to catch your second flight? How long is the second flight? Do you have two flights home as well?

That sounds amazing! Please take some pictures if you go. How far away is Canyon Lake?

Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes which is so nice. Everywhere you turn there's another lake. I love spending time outdoors when I can. It's so peaceful with great scenic beauty. I hope you guys get to go! Sounds so fun and relaxing.

We live right by a lake, Lake Conroe, but it's not as nice as Canyon Lake. The place we stay at is right by the lake. We'll take some pictures.

In any case it does not hurt checking out. If you are not happy with the their ideas, you are not obligated to follow them.

Luckily I have my own room. Though the accountants had decided that we would share and had given me less money to pay for the hotel. Once we told them that we are in separate rooms they give us more, but it's still less than what we need to pay. I guess they will cover it once we get back.

For me it's not the fear. I just feel bad when flying. I can't hear properly and overall it's just uncomfortable. There are no direct flights between Sofia and Nice so we always have to transfer. It takes about 5/6 hours basically. The flight are like 1 hour and 40 minutes each and then there is staying on the airport. The staying in the airport drains me too. Too much people and too much noise.

That's a nice little drive.

Duluth, Minnesota, sits right on Lake Superior. Duluth is a gorgeous city. It's only 2 hours from the Twin Cities so it's always fun to take a road trip to Duluth for the scenic beauty, playing around in one of the Great Lakes.

Yum. LOL

We're getting Italian take out this evening. I am looking forward to it.

My nieces won their game 1-0. It was so hot during the game my t-shirt was soaked. I ended up sitting with the parents of the team. It just kind of happened that way. We were walking and bumped into my brother-in-law who guided us to our seats. I typically sit away from the parents. It was okay today though. The heat was the only problem. Both my nieces have colds/sore throats at the moment. My sister is sick too. I always worry about Sara, especially, because her asthma acts up when she gets a cold. She's going to the pediatrician tomorrow just to make sure her asthma is under control. She needed her inhaler more than once yesterday and today after the game too. So it's a good idea just to make sure things are okay. I bet half the high school has some sort of infection right now, lol. That always happens when school starts up again.

They won 1-0. It was so hot though. I was miserable. My headache started to get worse (the dull ache pain, not the nerve pain) but when I got home I drank a bunch of water, had some food for lunch and it got better.

Glad you have your own room.

What time will you need to start working Monday morning? You will definitely be tired. I hope you can get some sleep very soon after you get checked in.

You're right... I am not even really scared of flying. I just hate being out of control, you know? I don't like the feeling that I am just sitting there and have to leave it up to strangers who are flying me through the air. I hate your ears going muffled. Sinuses act up as well. Sometimes my ears will hurt as well. Well, the flights will be short at least. You won't have to be in the airplane for too long each time. Yes, I hate hanging at the airport too. It's awful. I remember when I flew home from NYC several years ago. I was alone and the flight was delayed. It was terrible. I was hating the experience so much. I just wanted to get home. Will you listen to music in the plane and while you're killing time at the airport?

Great about the win! Sucks that it was so hot . Good that you managed to get better with food and water. Here is everything but hot. Today is a little bit better, but yesterday and Friday it was too windy.

You are driving so this makes sense. Not only I don't drive I would not even want to try it out. As a result I use public transportation anyway so I have no issues with this.

To be honest even 1:40 is too much for me. I really do not like flying. Everyone wants to sit by the window to watch and I do not care about this. Like at all. In fact if I watch through the window I would get nauseous. Flying is really not for me .

It is terrible. I hate it. I also hate going through checkins and security at the airport. I hate waiting for my luggage hoping that everything is in tact. I hate being worried that they might want to check everything in my backpack. Flying seriously sucks huge time for me. I hate traveling in general, but flying is on another level of hate.

I will listen to music in the plane and while waiting. I am prepared. I have my second phone that I use for player as well as my mp3 player. I also have portable battery so that I could charge them. If I have no music with me I will get insane .

Good thinking. We are sensitive enough to foods, the last thing you want is to get some sort of flare up while in a foreign country due to foods you've never eaten before.

My face is red with irritation due to the sun. That shows you how intensely hot it was. Sitting outside for 2 hours caused my face to feel irritated and red. Horrible. Today is not as hot but we're still expecting warmer temperatures. I want it to go away. Hope your weather in France is the way you want it to be.

Ugh. With travel and not too many hours of sleep tomorrow will be rough.

Oh yes, we are different in this way. I cannot stand feeling out of control not in charge of my transportation. I don't even like going in friends cars, lol. I prefer driving if I can help it.

I can't stand it either. I can get through an hour and a half flight (which is approximately what it is from Minnesota to Ohio) but a 3 hour flight to California is tough, let alone Europe being 7/8/9 hours.
