Yes. At work and at home on the bigger laptop I use Windows 7. My small laptop uses Windows 8.1 and I do have more problems with it. They claim that Windows 10 is better compared to 8.1, but to be honest I agree with Jerry. The GUI design and set up just does not work for me. Like at all.

Hm that might be possible . This is the problem with those viruses. They could bring additional danger with them. Agh this sucks ! I am glad that at least those two nights you were able to sleep more and to fight some of the tiredness and fatigue you had.

I overslept today . Apparently I did not hear the alarm. It's set up for 5:00 am. I woke up on my own at 5:45. I guess I was tired. Plus I woke up in the middle of the night due to typical monthly issues.

Sounds great! As long as she has fun, it's not to say that she can only celebrate on the exact day. This is great setup. She had fun with the friends that were in the city and with her family and I am sure that the party will be good too. It's a matter of timing to choose the correct weekend.

Interestingly Jesse Lee Soffer's birthday was also on Sunday, but one of his best friends apparently got married that day. Cool though that after years they will have sort of double holiday .

Man, was I lucky or what (sarcasm). I was working on the presentation till like noon and I decided to transfer it on external USB just in case. The meeting was in 1 pm. I decided again to check it like 12:45 and I realized that the file is corrupted and can't be open anymore. At least not on my work computer. I had to restore it using different computer. Really weird. Anyway it turned out that they did not want me to show the presentation so I guess I was lucky. Or not. Can't decide .

its really weird, i've noticed when i get 4/5 hours of sleep i am actually really alert in the mornings. but when i get 8 hours i am always tired. its the strangest thing. i should sleep less but 5 hours never seems appealing to me and i always worry i will be tired if i get that much sleep.

Yes, i have ridiculous anxiety when it comes to stuff like that. I absolutely hate calling people on the phone, which is partly why i haven't my made my appointment either. i dread going to the doctor too, i hate them weighting me and looking at my body. I know they are supposed to help me but I just feel stupid. I get major anxiety too over money. Whenever i have to buy something I just have horrible fears about running out of money (even though i have money saved in the bank)....


I guess when it rains it pours guys... I came home today to find my apartment flooded. This happened last summer and they were supposed to fix the piping/drain so it wouldnt happen again but now its a different drain apparently. It wast like the water was all high in the apartment but i have a basement apartment, so the carpet is just soaked and theres dirty and crap everywhere inside. My landlord said some people were coming the next day to help clean and stuff but like, she didnt give me a set time and tuesdays are my days off, so i had to come to my sisters house. she was really rubbing me the wrong way because she was acting like it was my fault and whining again about finances (which she is always complaining to me about how expensive thing are... in the summer she asked me not to use my heaters because they were using up too much energy which i understand but man, in twas freezing down here in the winter! i needed those heaters as i dont have another eat source...) then she complains about the other renters being late all the time with their checks, and i am never late. it makes me uncomfortable when shes always talking about it. And I just had to deal with the whole internet situation, which shouldn't have been my problem. i had to change my plans last minute for her. And she has more appointments tomorrow and she just scheduled this lady to come without even talking to me about it first. When I told her i would appreciate a time frame she just then whined about how shed been on the phone all afternoon. And that i let her know about this issue so late. Like, I only just saw it at 3pm when I arrived home and then had to leave to go teach my classes, its not like i knew it had flooded during the day! It just sucks because i feel like i cant complain to her when things go wrong. like the internet issue, i waited on that for weeks because i didnt want to stress her out more, but i have let a lot of things slide (i still dont have a working washer machine that shes known about for months, ive been doing laundry at the house i nanny at so its okay, but still, its irritating because its supposed to be part of my rental deal).... anyways, i got really frustrated with her and just left and i dont plan on going back to that apartment until next week becasuse shes really been irritating me lately. this is not my issue, this is her issue, shes the freaking landlord! plus shes an older woman, in her 70s and she kind of talks over you and stuff. she just really annoys me. i need to find a new apartment but man, the rent is so cheap i dont wanna leave. ugh.

I have similar problem . It's not exactly 5 hours, but I have noticed that I should wake up no later than 6:30/7:00 am no matter if it's working day or weekend. If I sleep till late then I won't be able to fall asleep at a reasonable time on the next day.
Similar here . If I have to call on phone for something I have some sort of anxiety. And yeah I always have fear of running out of money. I have been this way since I was a kid. My parents had sent me to some school trip and they gave me X money. I returned back with the half of the money not because they told me to not spend them, but because I want to be prepared and not to feel that I will be out of money.

Ah this sucks ! Your landlord does sound annoying and it seems that she doesn't take care of the things that you pay rent for. Like laundry, heaters etc. You are right. It's her issue. She should take care of this and fix it. Maybe you should start looking for another apartment to rent. Maybe there is something cheap enough for you with better landlord?

That's the problem. They usually sell them with Windows 10. So we don't have the choice.

I wonder if they will soon come up with a Windows 11 (I assume that'd be the next one?) and get rid of Windows 10. I don't know how these things work. I would imagine they'd realize that people aren't happy with Windows 10, though. Wouldn't they be working tirelessly trying to get a new one implemented as soon as possible? Or maybe they think Windows 10 is good? It wouldn't surprise me.

I have a stupid meeting at 8 AM this morning. Good news is it's at a different location than the University. It's actually in an office building in my neck of the woods only about 10 minutes away. That's the good part. I'll have to leave here around 7:30ish.

She did officially pick the party, too. It's scheduled for not this weekend of course, but the following weekend/Saturday night.

Wow, that sucks you had to deal with that sht beforehand. You're right, it's kind of up in the air whether it was good or not that you didn't present since you went through so much while preparing but then kind of cool you didn't even have to go there, too.

Most of the time, Chicago pizza has sauce (tons of it) on the outside of the pizza over the crust/cheese.

New York-style pizza is typically a large hand-tossed thin-crust pies, using with wide slices. Crust which is crisp along the edges yet soft beneath its toppings to be folded in half to eat. That's classic NYC pizza. Definitely good.

Cleveland doesn't have the wide slices, has the crispy crust like NY along the edges but slightly deeper in the inside. So good. LOL

Detroit also has a really good pizza. It's similar to Cleveland pizza.

That's precisely what I was like for years. Throughout high school, college, I was just like that. Then suddenly it changed and I need more sleep to feel okay. I wish I could go back to the 4/5 hours of sleep!

Seriously, I can relate so much. I think we have similarities due to the Capricorn thing. We are serious about many things, we don't like anyone controlling us or feeling out of control, we worry a lot.

When it rains it pours indeed. That sucks so much! Your landlord definitely sounds like a piece of work. I can see why you would be hesitant to move given the rent being so reasonably priced but maybe you could find something similar with better peace of mind with a landlord who actually communicates properly and isn't so annoying?

Back from my meeting. That was relatively painless. Meeting started early since everywhere was there... 7:45 and went until 9. There was a massive coffee/hot chocolate/latte/mocha machine you could use for free so everyone was making huge mochas, etc.

Glad it's over. Home now working again. Have a chat set up with four of my Cleveland friends at noon. We are discussing our vacation plans. The five of us are going on vacation together in June.

Problem is for most people I guess it is. This is the current movement in business in general. A lot companies put more and more functionalities in their mobile applications and more and more work on user interface that fits in both computer and phone. So I have some fears that this will continue.

Definitely! I was at work around 7:15 AM. I am however today and tomorrow in all days workshop. So yeah meetings. I swear half of my time at work is spent in meetings.

Yeah . At least the two people responsible the project from the two companies sent me quite extensive materials and presentations. And one of them is supposed to do the presentation with me.

Cleveland is not so bad either, but I guess I would choose New York for first place, Cleveland second (but really close to the first one) and on third place the Chicago one (definitely not close to 1 and 2) based on the pictures. If I taste them my opinion might change.

Minnesota isn't remotely known for pizza. Now they have NY and Chicago style pizza places here though. In the rare event that I eat pizza those are the places I go to.

I am more willing to try out Linux. It runs on computers that could work with Windows. It's free, it's faster and you have a choice. And in my case those computers are like one third the price of Mac. In my country the prices for Apple products are outrageous. For example laptop is like 1650 $, iPhone 7 is around 1100 $. They are totally crazy if they think that I will pay that much for laptop or phone. Not for desktop computer, but for small 13 inch laptop with like 4 GM RAM and around 200 GB hard disk. Not to mention that here there are no free upgrades for Apple products. If you want to upgrade, you would have to pay this price again for new one. It's just absurd and ridiculous.

No. In general I am slightly anti social person. I am not sociopath, but I do have signs of anit social disorder and that much meetings is sometimes too much for me. Especially when I have slept like 4-5 hours and I have to be in all day long meetings discussing work stuff. Yesterday in the afternoon we were discussing for 2 and half hours how to do something. We mentioned 5 options and we could not decide which one we want. So we decided to let it sit a bit in our heads before deciding. Problem is that once we finished the all day long meeting at around 5 pm we had to do work stuff so we stayed at work till 10:30 PM. Considering that I went to work around 7:15 AM you can imagine how tired I am. So today I have again all day meeting and it would be so "fun" .

So you expected it to be more annoying and boring than it was? Or longer?

And the reason for the party is great so I don't see how anyone would complain.
