Hi guys!

I had to add this cuz of what happened in the season finale. As some of you might know, Bright and Delia are one of my favourite ships on Everwood, not only as a potential couple in the future (yeah it'd probably only happen if the show ever ran for like 10 years so probably never) but also as friends...I love that Delia immediately got a crush on Bright on him the moment she laid eyes on him and how she was the first Brown family member that he could connect to. I never was much of a fan of Bright in s1 (I mean I ADORE him now) but the moment I saw Bright and Delia connect, I was a fan for life...

Anyways, on the season finale, I definitely thought that the adorable Bright/Delia moment at the end was a highlight of the show...I can't believe she "asked" him out to go to the movies and he said yes...can you imagine the jealous girls in her class dying cuz Delia achieved the impossible and got to spend an afternoon in a darkened theater with the hottest guy in Everwood...just think of the seething looks that her former best friend Brittany would give her...Brittany was always jealous that Bright liked Delia better than her and this would be the icing on the cake...

Anyways, this thread is just to appreciate B/D in any form, as friends, or more in the future...I just think that Vivien and Chris has a special kind of chemistry not usually seen in these shows...it was immediate and held my interest this whole time...

Reasons why we love Bright and Delia: (okay, I just came up with these on a whim...feel free to suggest more...)

1. Because the moment she saw him, he took her breath away.
2. Because she thought he was huge (in a good way).
3. Because he's the only one she'd take her hat off and straighten her hair for.
4. Because he thought her outfit was way cool.
5. Because they both had Miss Violet for third grade.
6. Because she was the only one in her family who isn't a total freak.
7. Because he makes her smile in the most adorable way.
8. Because she brought him b-day cake.
9. Because the sight of her makes him smile.
10. Because Bright would rather kiss Delia than Brittany any other day.
11. Because Delia has dibs on Bright. He said so!
12. Because Bright came to her slumber party.
13. Because every girl in her class is seething jealous of her and her friendship with Bright.
14. Because Bright would be the perfect babysitter for her.
15. Because she "asked" him out and he said yes.
16. Because all summer, all they have is each other.
17. Because Bright believes in soulmates for life and if Delia ever asked him to stay for her (in the future), he'd say yes in a heartbeat!
18. Because she doesn't think he's the dumbest brother around.

I'm a huge B/D shipper. I'm actually writing a fic centered on B/D, so any info I could get on their relationship would be great. I only tuned in as a "serious" watcher this season, so I don't remember the crush or anything...

There isn't a list yet, but I will add one later...as for the shipper name, at Fanbolt, they came up with Delight...kinda cute don't ya think?

Anyways, as for the history between Bright and Delia, here's a timeline as I see it... (transcripts provided by Everwood Scripts and Transcripts.)

Bright's and Delia's Story - (the cutest love story yet to be told...hehehe...)

Is there a doctor in the house -The first and best Bright/Delia episode as of yet.
It'stheir first meeting in which Delia and her grandmother throw a surprise b-day celebration for Edna...Delia greets the guests at the door and when she lets the Abbotts in, she almost forgets to let in Bright...

They shuffle in and Amy says hi to Delia when she enters. Delia closes the door before Bright gets to it. She is in awe when she sees him.

DELIA: You're huge.

BRIGHT: I'm Bright, by the way. That's a way cool outfit.

DELIA: bashfully It itches.

Delia lets Bright in and takes off her cap before fixing her hair. He's obviously made an impression on her.

Cut to Delia and Bright on the sofa.

DELIA: What do you do for a living?

BRIGHT: I go to school.

DELIA: Me too. I'm in third grade.

BRIGHT: Miss Violet? I had her. Twice. I got left back.

DELIA: I don't think I can handle one time. She's boring. But we did get to paint state flags.

BRIGHT: Oh yeah. I did that. Twice.

Bright pulls a pained face as he rubs his stomach.

DELIA: You hungry?

BRIGHT: No. I haven't been able to eat anything all day. Kind of allergic to my grandma.

DELIA: I'll get you some tea.

BRIGHT: Well, thanks. You know, you're like the only one in your family that isn't a total freak.

Delia throws Bright the most adorable smile and walks off.

Bright's appendix burst and Delia is the one who calls her dad to help him. Later, she talks to Amy about Bright...very cute...

Open on the Brown kitchen. It's morning and Amy is making some hot chocolate for Delia.

AMY: It's the only way to make your cocoa. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Shouldn't you be in bed?

DELIA: I told him not to get up.

AMY: Bright doesn't listen to anybody. I have the dumbest brother in the whole world.

DELIA: No, you don't.

AMY: Well, it's a close call.

DELIA: It's not their fault. Boys just don't know any better.

AMY: Being a sister's hard work.

DELIA: I know. They need help with *everything*.

Delia visits Bright in the hospital.

EDNA: I almost forgot. You've got a visitor. Come on in, Private.

Delia walks into the room with a plate of cake.

DELIA: I brought birthday cake. Can you have it?

BRIGHT: smiling Not yet.

DELIA: You really scared us.

BRIGHT: I'm sorry.

DELIA: Don't do it again, OK?

Bright looks at his grandmother.

BRIGHT: It's already taken care of.

SEASON 2:

Last of Summer -

This first scene doesn't exactly count cuz it's Amy's dream but it's funny that in her dream sequence, it also involves Bright/Delia...

Amy looks up and smiles as we cut to Ephram and Dr. Brown playing ping-pong in summer clothes. They shoot back and forth a few times until Ephram gets one past his dad. They chuckle. Ephram spots Amy and they share a smile. Cut to Delia running around the pool in her bathing suit. She runs into a lifeguard. The lifeguard turns around.

COLIN: Hey. All right, slow down there, Delia. Remember there's no running by the pool.

Bright comes down from the ladder. He's a lifeguard too.

BRIGHT: That's right, little lady. beat Unless of course someone is chasing ya.

Bright and Colin proceed to chase Delia. Amy watches from afar.

Delia and her friends try to get Bright's attention.

NEW LIFEGUARD: Hey, Bright, you want anything from the Snack Shack?

BRIGHT: No thanks. I'm alright.

Bright resumes keeping watch on the pool. Suddenly we hear a girl (Brittany) call for help from the deep end and Bright goes to rescue her after the sixth help, I believe. As he does so, we see Delia and her other girlfriends (number of them: 6) watching.

BRITTANY: Help, help, help me, help me, help me, help me, help, help.

BRIGHT: You OK, Brittany?

BRITTANY: I don't mean to go in the deep end. I'm sorry.

DELIA: quietly to her friends I don't know. I don't know.

BRIGHT: OK. Just be careful from now on, OK?

Bright kisses Brittany on her forehead and then gets out of the pool. She's positively glowing and then goes back to Delia and the other girls.

DELIA: Oh my gosh, he KISSED you!

BRITTANY: I told you it would work.

DELIA: Is it my turn now?

Brittany taps her waterproof watch.

BRITTANY: We have to wait thirteen minutes and then I'll decide who goes next.

DELIA: Why do you get to decide?

BRITTANY: Because I'm the one that made up the game.

Brittany gives Delia a look like "Don't mess with me. I'm the boss." She then turns away from the girls and then they all admire Bright from afar who is getting water out of his ear.

Blind Faith - Delia and Bright dance at Rev. Keyes wedding.

Then we see Bright and Delia dancing. Bright is singing with the song.

BRITTANY: My turn.

DELIA: Not yet. I get dibs.

BRITTANY: Says who?

DELIA: Says him.

Brittany storms to other girls and they watch Delia and Bright dance.

Just like in the movies - Delia has a slumber party with her friends and Bright makes an appearance, singing karaoke (Survivor by Destiny's child while the girls look on with adoration.

And then it's the season finale. I think that is the extent of Bright/Delia moments as of yet (If I've forgotten something - I didn't watch a couple of episodes or I don't remember, tell me.)

I love Bright/Delia, they're awesome. Their friendship is just starting out, and they don't feel any need to be 'fake' around each other... that's why it's so great. Plus, it's obvious he prefers her to her other friends... lol.

Oh, I came up with another reason:

Cause she doesn't think he's the dumbest brother around.

Or something like that. If you don't like it, don't use it . I love the name Delight, but I guess we can't use it. We need something else catchy.

TheMaria - I think all of us are waiting for Delia to grow up...yes, we love their friendship and hope that it becomes even better but we all dream that when she's older, she will be Bright's true love...

gunn/Heather - we know that she's 10...we're not suggesting that they should get together NOW but we like the way they play with Delia's girl crush on him, that he likes her and they are friends but when she's older, then a lot of us think that they'd be perfect for one another.

willow - thanks for the pimping cuz I've always been a BIG fan of your B/D fics...they are the best and definitely my favourite Everwood fanfic...

I Bright & Delia! ... I thought I was the only one

I've shipped them since there first scene, they was so cute and interesting. They remind me of Laurie/Amy from Little Women.

I'm a tad behind though cos Season 2 hasn't aired here in england yet, but I'm hearing good things
