Hi everyone ,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

For a full explanation of the message board customisation process, see this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to send Mel, Catia or Chelle a PM or ask the Team on the message board customisation thread.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes less than two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have made and voted on a winning graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

I know nothing about the show (I probably mentioned that in our PMs, I can't remember), but I know you said you wanted to add in at least one other character. Wikipedia lists 8 mains for all seasons, another two who were reoccurring for some & mains for others. Then a couple who were only mains for one or two seasons. If you wanted to include the mains who were in the show the entire run we could add in 10, but I'd probably leave it at that. 10 is around the point where people start to look small. The Buffy & Angel board has 10 in its graphic if you wanted to see an example of what ten can look like in a graphic

That's just my two cents to throw out there, I have no idea what you're thinking, but thought it could be nice for you to have a wider range of the cast in your graphic as well as bringing in people like Chris Pratt/Bright Abbott like you wanted

I'm not sure if there's a gallery or anything for this show? We do prefer to work with as best quality pictures as possible. I did find this site which has some pictures but they're not the best quality & it only has 9 of the actors


As for colours, you can stick with something similar to what you've got now, or go with something different, its completely up to you . I'm not a fan of green but I feel like the colours you have here are quite nice & peaceful, easy on the eyes. Looking at the pictures for the show they seem to work with the show too. If you wanted something different you may wish to take a look through these colour schemes as some of them may work quite nicely. There's a lot of different colour schemes on that site too so I recommend taking a look around it & seeing what you can find. If you click 'by color' on the menu at the top you can search through the different schemes by colour

I think that we could use an advice from you as you definitely understand this more than us . What kind of colors would you think fit in some earthy down to earth muted color scheme? We would not want something too bright or too in our eyes you know. Obviously it's a matter of nuances and shades, but designers we are not .

So do you have any idea what other colors (aside green) would work for this?

I will check out the styles you sent and will get back if I like particular palette . Thanks for that.

So girls I have one question. Do you need a group picture of all characters that we want in the banner or you want individual pictures of the characters?

We have decided to go with 8 characters so that it doesn't look too crowded.

Characters are: Ephram, Amy, Andy, Delia, Nina, Harold, Rose, Bright

Soft greens, blues, & browns are easy on the eyes. I'm on my phone so can't link to any examples right now
