Alex allows season 7 to at least have some personality and energy. She's a spark plug.

Heartbreaking. :( Haley's depression storyline was powerful and Joy knocked it out of the park.

It's so ridiculous! When someone's that obsessed it takes a while to build up the obsession. She became unstable and obsessed immediately and I hate how the supposed reasoning was mental illness. I am not buying it since the particular illness she had is typically not violent. I am embarrassed for Mark. What lazy, unrealistic drama he included for no reason.

Nathan handled Haley's depression beautifully.

I never liked Mia/Chase, or I guess I was more indifferent when they were together. But when she broke up with him via text that was it. Lameeeeeeee, and then she returns trying to get back together two seconds later. Right.

I love their friendship! I could have been on board with these two romantically. I have a sneaking suspicion Julian might have maintained his personality with Alex.

Initially I thought Haley was talking to Lucas! :( It was such a heartbreaking twist finding out about the voicemails. Poor Haley. :(

Seriously. I wonder how many fans there truly are of this pairing. It has to be a tiny fanbase. People aren't just indifferent, they loathe this pairing!

I hate it, seriously. I actually started to dislike how the guys would make fun of Julian. I cringed as it continued. Recently, it appears as if they're taking him more seriously compared to how he was treated on the camping trip, but I feel like Mark wants to use Julian has a little punching bag almost. It's very weird. This is NOT the same guy who was with Peyton in LA or was with Brooke in the beginning of their relationship. What happened here? :blank: He has a close relationship with his mother and that's what bothers me too... I like that Mark portrays a mother/son with a close relationship. It's one of the most beautiful relationships you can have and NO it doesn't mean that the guy turns into a feminine piece of sap either. If anything, it means the guy is very respectful of women and is an all around decent guy which Julian certainly is... but getting rid of his pair and turning him into this little boy should not have been involved!

Wow this opening is horrible... why did Mark insist on having different versions of Gavin's song in season 8? All it does is remind you of how this show has become a ghost of the real thing.

Quinn's version of "Eye of the Tiger" is BAD. Her singing in general sucks. LOL

It was obvious it was Ian. I didn't even question the possibility of it being Kellerman.

Haley and Lydia were so beautiful, and I loved the Jamie/Nathan/baby stuff.

Brooke and Julian should move to NY. There's nothing tying them to Tree Hill anymore. Considering NYC isn't necessarily the ideal place to raise a family, right in the city, it would be the best place for them at the moment too.

Skills, Mouth and Millie hanging at the River Court, dribbling basketballs and dancing was great.

Well, since I love Alex and Alex wants Chase I guess I have to want what she wants right now and that's Chase... thus, the kiss was nice FOR Alex.

Jana is such a good singer. She's multi-talented... she's obviously a musician first but her acting is excellent, too. She's like Joy basically and that's a good thing!

Chuck: Tell Alex she's HOT!!!!! :lol:

I appreciate the American flag giving a reminder that baseball's our past-time but this show is supposed to be about basketball. That said, I loved seeing Alex and Chase delivering the glasses to Chuck and the hit, Madison's hit and Jamie's hit that allowed them to win the game! Outstanding.

What got very old was hearing about Clay wanting the kids to play fast so he could take his piece of meat, Quinn, and have sex with her. Talk about annoying. Just no.

Julian's right, ginger ale settles the stomach and I live on it. I am sure Mark was going with Julian being a little boy there though by not drinking hard stuff when he's mad. :irked: Stop it, Mark.

Quinn is not in direct scenes with Haley and Jamie which makes her highly annoying once again... I also hate how in season 7 she was a selfish zombie and the last part of season 8 it's like a forced, goofy kind of thing with her.

I enjoyed the scenes between Nathan and Kellerman, senior. When they said goodbye and Kellerman and his dog sailed away, I almost wanted him to return and be a father figure for Nathan. Also, how awesome that Nathan received an A- in his class. Nathan's come a long way. I still feel ripped off that Nathan ended his pro career so early, but it was nice seeing him ACE college since he never could do that in high school.

I liked the Nathan/Haley talk about Dan but Nathan should have gone to see Dan.

I also loved the Nathan/Jamie scene before Jamie got the winning hit.

I love Alex so I have to love Alex and Chase and I'm happy that she's happy. Plus, Chase, deep down, is a really decent guy. He's helped Chuck and his family massively and it was great when he thought Alex was pregnant that he'd give up the Air Force just for her.

I'm glad the guys "teamed up" to show Kellerman his fault but Clay tackled him? Didn't he have a kidney transplant? I don't care if it was several months ago, he could hardly open up a fricken can of soup and now he's tackling a guy with a professional athlete body? Right, and pigs fly.

I'm still trying to figure out when and how Clay and Quinn fell in love because this episode once again proves that Clay sees her as a piece of meat in such a strong way. I am not saying he doesn't respect her or care for her but there's endless hints that physically he's nuts over her and it feels weird considering they have been dating for a while now so shouldn't he calm down by now? So weird and terribly annoying.

Brooke is pregnant! What an exciting twist! However, it's completely unrealistic giving her this miracle pregnancy. LOL Oh this sort of stuff happens but not all that often and not without major medical intervention. But then again, considering the amount of sex they've had in the past several months the miracle is probably that Brooke's not walking funny over her actually getting pregnant. :lol: I am happy for her though and plus, I shouldn't complain since hopefully this means Brooke's crying for the past decade is finally going to stop. :lol:

I forgot to mention that it's kind of freaky I mentioned that Brooke and Julian should take the job in NYC since it's not a popular place to raise a family (so they could forget about having children for a while given what happened) and then Brooke says this in the next episode as to why she turned down the job and they're staying Tree Hill:

One of my friends who is a lawyer turned down a job in NYC making loads of money because she wanted a family and could only imagine living in the Midwest. Some people thought she was missing out on a dream job but she said her dream job was always in the Midwest. She decided between Minneapolis and Chicago and those were her only two choices. The Brooke storyline reminded me of my friend! They both would have been filthy rich in NYC but at the end of the day it's all about family and happiness.

Seeing the River Court and Mouth talking like he's calling a game, mentioning Jimmy is so sad. :cry:

I found out Joy was on maternity leave during filming so even the tiny amount of screen time Haley got was appreciated.

Haha, I love that Nathan kicked Chuck after he punched him. No one's done that before.

Clay's talking about being horny once again with his GF out of town. Please stop.

Are they really in Puerto Rico? Wherever they are is absolutely beautiful.

I kind of like that Clay's sitting on a lame chair uninterested in the River Court stuff. He should be uninterested, he has zero ties to the River Court so I appreciate this fact.

I love that Alex is helping Brooke cover up not being able to eat and drink certain things in Puerto Rico. :)

Haley is up to something very interesting.

On the old thread a couple people mentioned they like how close Nathan and Julian are getting and they prefer their friendship to Nathan and Clay. I COMPLETELY AGREE. Julian is Brooke's husband... Brooke, part of the core five. Julian is also not trying to replace Lucas. It's way more natural and not forced. How sweet that Julian told Nathan about the pregnancy. Awe and the cheesy bit about hoping it's a girl just like her mom (I LOVE when guys say that, because not many do, they all want boys) and that she's best friends with Lydia. So cute. Nathan and Julian for the win!

Awe Chuck overheard Chase telling Julian he's leaving for the Air Force. :(

Jelly Howie, who is guest starring is very pretty. She does look just like a model. She reminds me of my two model friends. They have the same body and look as her.

I absolutely love the part when Quinn and the model (I don't remember her name lol) go to the lower income areas and take pictures with people, especially the children. Outstanding stuff. :love:

Chuck hugging Chase begging him to stay and not go is so sad. :bawl: Their entire talk was moving and I love how Chase gave Chuck the bike. Awe.

Oh the irony... Brooke and Alex, who both used to be super wild and I'll see it, &lutty, are the ones not drinking or being wild on the trip while Lauren, a teacher, is drunk and sending nude pictures of herself... to Chuck. :lol:

Millie giving the mike to Mouth was so sweet. :love:

Loved the Jamie hoop at the end with Nathan.

The very best part of this episode? KAREN'S CAFE! Oh Haley, you are a genius, an absolute genius thinking of bringing back Karen's Cafe and the words you said about Karen were beautiful. It DOES bring back old school One Tree Hill. :love:

I am just so sad that Lucas and Peyton aren't around. :cry: Seriously, even if they both could come back for one episode, the series finale or the finale of 8, something to show that they are intending to come back. The series finale would have been great if they would have come back for good even if we saw them briefly. Or even Nathan/Haley/Brooke getting word that they're moving back in the series finale, SOMETHING. I really am heartbroken over this. I am happy, oh so happy that my favorite ship on the show are so happy and in love with their baby daughter that they forget they need to get back to Tree Hill. LOL But I still wish we would have seen them. We see Lucas in season 9 for one episode but it's not the same at all. It might have been had the episode been set up better... but yes, I am so sad about Lucas/Peyton/Sawyer not jointly coming back on screen even if I loved their magical happy ending.

It's ridiculous, and again, no good explanation. If there were a reason for Julian to change, then okay, but it's just like the writers randomly decided to change his character from who we all loved in S6! Hate hate hate.
