YAY! Thanks for thinking of starting this thread, Lazy. I love it! Looks great!

Yes, how can anyone not adore this family? And, given the very serious nature of the Rose cancer storyline, this family is going to be going through some really tough times. It's going to be heartbreaking to see. I just love the dynamic that this family has together. They all really love each other and you can always sense and feel the true bond that they have as a unit.

In thinking about one episode/scene that I simply love with them, right away, I think about the season two finale, whenever they are all eating together and Harold announces his lame-brain decision to open a bagel shop. Oh man, that was all kinds of funny! Rose looked like she wanted to ring Harold's neck, Bright was all for it, and Amy was sort of neutral. Heh. The bantering and chemistry that went on between the four of them in that scene was priceless. In fact, all Abbott scenes when they are all eating together are beautiful.

Again, perfect idea for a thread!

Lazy, thanks for starting this thread. Wilpen, I agree. All of their moments together are just priceless.

I think that what makes their dynamic so compelling is the naturalness that all four actors display on the screen together. They all have so much chemistry together and it makes everything that much more real and powerful. It's great to see.

Well said! I agree.

What a great idea for a topic thread! I forsee the Abbotts getting through this and coming out staronger than ever! (I can't imagine Everwood nor the Abbott family without Rose.)

-Although, if she does pass on, maybe harold and Andy could sorta help one another in raising their familes *shrugs*

WORD. I really feel like I'm watching a real family and not actors. I absolutely love their dinner table scenes, they're my favourite

I agree. They're acting is so powerful, that it doesn't even seem like they are acting. It's like watching a reality show. I guess that's the best way to put it.

I think the end of tonight's episode was a phenominal example of the closeness and bond the Abbott family has. That end scene had me in tears; happy tears, sad tears. They are just such a wonderful family and I adore them!

What happened? From what I've read, there were some great Abbott family scenes in the last ep

It was so heartbreaking to watch. All of them were dealing with Rose's cancer and they all sort of dealt with it in their own way, and yet, you felt their connection together as a unit, in such a strong and intense way. The love that they all have for each other is so evident and real. Bright was trying so hard to keep moving forward and being strong, but the amazing guy broke down in tears in front of Ephram and there was a scene where he carried Rose when I completely lost it. Seeing Bright picking up his mother, who is unable to walk and suffering from a potentially fatal illness, and caring for her in a way that you viewed this mother/son bond and felt every ounce of love that they have for each other, as it simply stirred your emotions. Then there was Harold that was telling Amy white lies about the severity of Rose's illness. He was trying hard to paint the picture a little brighter for Amy, so that she would cling to the hope and still remain strong. It broke Harold's heart to be completely honest with Amy.. He so didn't want to break her heart.. He just couldn't see Amy's heart break in two, and thus, protected her from feeling the desperation that he was feeling at the moment. He wanted to take it on all by himself. Towards the end of the episode, it all came to a head where Harold and Amy exchanged looks and both started to break down in each other's arms. On came the endless tears in my eyes..

The love displayed between this family was something to see. Purely amazing.

Wilpen, I couldn't have said it better. Every scene of the family, I couldn't help but cry.
