[img]smilies/star.gif[/img] Official faction name explanation by fella harem girl, Ceci [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img] "It first started when I came to the Alias Board, and more importantly the Sark Appreciation Thread, for the first time. The crazy girls here were trying to think up a first name for Sark. We were all much amused by Victor Garber's suggestion of 'Steve', but with all our wacky theories over who, if anyone, Sark is related to... we decided the name should be Russian. Names like Ivan and Sergei were thrown around... but they just weren't right. That's when someone (for the life of me I can't remember who, so please, show yourself and accept your Golden Sark Statue) said his name should be Putin. The name's Sark, Putin Sark. So, that's where 'Putin' came from. And then we started talking about Sark's romantic interests on the show. I made some comment about how I should audition to play Sark's girlfriend, and then someone else said they'd be happy to fill that role as well, and yet another person wanted to vie for this position, and so on. Eventually it seemed like Sark would have his choice of about a half dozen different ladies next season. And then I figured, Well, why should we fight over him? Can't we all just get along? And that's how I came to suggest that we were something like a harem. Affirmative reactions around the thread led me to take it a step further and name the harem. His Holiness, Maharajah Putin Sark's Royal Harem Afterall, we couldn't just be 'Sark's Harem', could we? That would just be silly. So then someone (can't remember who again, help me! I only keep track of the things *I* do) started to compile a list of all the harem girls and bizarre little descriptions of them that make no sense. It's a glorious thing indeed. And lastly I made banners. Because I'm sad, addicted to fanart, and decided to try and make something that wasn't composed of 98% all beef james marsters man meat. And that's basically it. My brother who, as you know, runs the site has been a very busy volleyball coaching son of a gun and, unfortunately, his little brothers' website fell by the wayside. I fully understand and forgive my brother and his career--he is my kin after all. As you may have seen or heard, I signed on to moonlight a bit on CSI (my loyalties are flexible) this season. I play toxicology tech Travis Watson who is a former minor league baseball prospect which never fully came to fruition and informs his point of view. I had some fun playing a dude who speaks with my native diction after 3+ years of "jules". I think I pulled it off pretty famously and hopefully the highlights of my performance don't end there. My first CSI episode aired a few weeks ago and I've yet to film another but i will update you when they do me. While I hold my breath for CBS, I am back working at ABC and the wonderful, incomparable people at Alias. I missed the hell out of the entire production--cast, crew, writers...to a person. At the risk of sounding like a sap, the show is home to me and the people are family. I have been having a blast getting back into my "Sark Skin" and I am doing a two episode arc right now and am told that theres 3,4 or 5 more to look forward to. And I most certainly will. He is such a smart arse!!!!! my loyalties are flexable. I get the feeling he likes being Sark a little to much! It love the fact that he calls Sark jules now, I remember when it use to be steve!
