This might sound strange because as much as I love Michael Vartan, I thought it was great that they "killed" him off. It was a gutsy move that made me really appreciate the show on a whole new level. You just never knew what to expect from the show.

The one thing that bothered me ... they only had 17 episodes, why not the 22? Huh? I mean, I think the season would have been legendary if it were longer, because then they could have really given us more drama and closure.

It bothered me that they shorten the season too, they probably have proper ending if they have more time. I felt like they're rushing through everything.

Yeah, I thought it was rude of ABC to cut the episodes. After all, Alias carried the network for a few years until Lost, DH and GA came along. The writers did an amazing job with the little time that they had left but it wuold have been even more amazing if they had the full 22 episodes.

I think by the start of Season 5, they already had an idea that the show was finishing up, which gave them an even bigger push to cut the show. It is all about profit at the end of the day, and I think that's what they were thinking of at the back of their minds when they made the decision.

Alias was definitely ABC's breakout "hit". It did not have as many viewers as DH & Lost do nowadays, but it developed quite a following. I understand they had to make certain cuts because of Jen's time off, but they should have given us at least 20 episodes... The hiatus was too long, they started filming about 3 months before it went back to air... Stupid network.

It's the ending of 5x11 "Maternal instinct". Short scene though. You see more of him and the SV reunion in 5x14.

Some (at least out dear Taschka ) are watching it now... so good time to discuss it.

I think Season 5 could have been much better than it and it had some mistakes... still I loved many things about and I loved the second half of it.
