It can still get a little silly though.

So it will probably be September by the time I finish it, so I might as well start my rewatch now.

I completely missed it
Great idea! Did you only watch the pilot? __________________

I figured.
Nope, I've watched the first 5 now. I'll probably stick to the season threads, rather than the episode ones. |

I agree that this show by far had the best pilot of any series ever!

From Sydney finishing her test to Danny’s proposal to her scream by the bathtub to “Daddy?” to the red wig to “Tolstoy long” to “Hello?” at Danny’s grave, it was just all around simply perfection! No other pilot will ever compare for me! One Tree Hill might come close, but not by a long shot, honestly!

IDK why but I randomly decided to rewatch this today. I think the last time I rewatched was like 10 years ago or so? Maybe even more... so it was time. I know I liked the show the first few times I watched but I think I will appreciate it a lot more now that I am a bit older.
The pilot was very interesting because I literally didn't remember much of it at all! The little flashfoward scenes tied into the series were interesting for sure. Not my cup of tea watching someone be tortured yikes. But Sydney in the wig was kinda funny. Marshall was so fumbly and awkward. I liked him a lot. Actually forget for a second Bradley was in this show. It was so obvious that Will was in love with her right from the first scene. It was cute when he agreed to help her near the end of the ep too. Don't get why she told her boyfriend that she worked for the CIA, like lady, isn't the purpose to keep it a secret? I didn't really love his reaction either. I understand him being surprised and hurt but he didn't have to be so mean to her. Her coming home to find her fiance murdered was absolutely awful! I don't know how she didn't try to kill Sloane right there, like he just flat out admitted they did it, and where was she supposed to go after? Back to the house? What about the body? Like, so many questions and it doesn't make a lot of sense to me honestly. But I guess she had no other choice but to keep working for them because otherwise they were going to kill her. It was a fun little twist that she thought her dad was clueless to everything lol. But he's actually not a member of CIA and neither is she and they work for the same company. Oh boy. Then they hit us again at the end when they revealed that her dad actually was CIA and a double agent.... oh jeez. I didn't remember the lack of Vaughn in this episode, and I am looking forward to getting more of him and Vaugn/Sydney as the series goes on. I remember I had the biggest crush on him back when I was younger lol. The first scene with him and Sydney was subtle but cute. I like that he said he had an instinct about her. Very cool premise though, love seeing a female agent, and I also think the pilot was very strong and reeled in the viewer! __________________

I'll have to ask her for an update.
We've done rewatches like that before on the board. It's slow, but easy to keep up with. |
