"Prophet Five"

In the season premiere episode, after learning that the man she has known as Michael Vaughn is under investigation and suspected of being a double agent, Sydney begins to question whether their business and personal relationship over the years had all been a lie. When she discovers that she's pregnant with Vaughn's baby, she becomes determined to uncover the truth about him. Meanwhile, because of Jack's past betrayal by Irina, he begins to worry that his daughter may suffer the same fate that he did.

It is like a week and a half away and we've waited MONTHS, so I thought it a fitting time to begin discussion of the eppy or ... well... you know.... of the promo if I can see one or at least of the eppy description from abc.com

Hm, I wonder how many new characters we'll be getting. I've heard of two so far but I guess there could be more.

Rambaldi baby would be a horrible storyline. It would make sense though, since that's part of the prophecy... 'she'll be the one to bring forth my work' or whatever. Still, I'd prefer a normal S/V baby.

Again I must ask why didn't ABC run ONE Single rerun in the new timeslot...to give viewers a chance to get used to the change??? I guess network execs are too busy to care...wonder how does one become that, I guess you have to have an IQ barely over the line!

I hate how they're always focusing on Lost which is a bit overrated IMO. Alias deserves a better promotion. I know it's an 'old show' by now but come on, it's still alive.

Oh and couldn't they release promo pics of Syd at least?! Well, I assume that they don't believe she is the one who'll be leaving this year. I mean seriously, we get one promo pic and it's from s4.

Well, I'm not trying to turn this into an "anti" Lost, Desperate Housewives kind of argument. What gets to me...we know that those two shows are wildly popular right now. Everyone knows them. They are returning on the same nights...I think Lost has a different timeslot but regardless the promotions in the media about them is like none other. Why does ABC feel the need to promote, and over promote something so successful? Doesn't the material speak for itself? Look at Alias, by the ratings, S4 was the best one. However, the quality was not up to par with earlier seasons. They move the show...new night, new time, and NO promotion. Nothing near what Lost and DH both get. I mean my 84 year old grandmother, who lives in Bulgaria knows when Lost and DH starts! *uses his best chandler bing voice*...one might say "Oh, come on!"
